These shelves are dangerous when connected as one shelf unit. The connectors are small plastic pieces that can allow the upper half to pull over.....think children. I ended up using these in half units for piece of mind. A competitor has the same type shelving unit that connects with 4 inch metal connectors that lock into place. Surprised that Sam’s has not identified this as a safety issue.

These are fine shelves, with excellent load carrying. The shelf decks are stiff and won’t sag. The only thing the design lacks is any means of diagonal bracing to give the assembled shelf stiffness. For that, these shelves rely solely on how tight the couplers on the rails grip the struts. I bought four of these shelves, and bolted sheets of 1/4” plywood to the backs of them, greatly improving their stiffness. Still, these are great shelves and an excellent value.

Poor crafmanship. Rubber feet did not slide into the metal rod pieces, I managed to get one foot in but it was near impossible to accomplish. I gave up assembly and returned to store. Also, not a review about the product itself, but some wood components of the racking were damaged upon delivery. Dozens of better options out there!

I bought this to get rid of other smaller shelving units. I am very pleased as it was easy to reconstruct and it holds so much more that the other two units I had. I only needed help with putting together the first set of braces at the bottom. I'm just not as agile as I once was. After that, I did it without help.

We bought these 3-4 years ago for our garage. With a 2 foot depth, these work especially well for storage. Sturdy built and supports a lot of weight. We had similar shelves with particle board shelves and the humidity and moisture causes sagging and mold. These shelves are composite and not affected by the same conditions. We just bought 5 more, and everyone who sees them want to know where we got them from. You can buy far worse shelving for a great deal more $$. Can’t go wrong with these. I am not paid or incentivized to write this positive review.

I am returning 7 of the 8 shelves that I ordered. My previous shelves had metal pins where the upper and lower shelves connected where the new shelves now have only very small plastic connectors between the upper and lower shelf. They do not appear to be nearly as strong as before!

Great shelf for the money , using it as a pantry and it looks great and holds all that we need it to. Very easy to assemble. I almost didn’t buy because of some of the reviews but glad I did, if you follow directions , use a rubber mallet and two people , piece of cake !

I previously bought 3 6-shelf 18 inch deep of this type (72 inches tall). They were great, and I needed more. I bought 2 of these. These each hold 4 27 gallon bins from Sams, and 4 14 gallon bins from H*** D****. They are strong enough for anything I can imagine on them, and the old ones are fine after 10-15 years.

Very sturdy, BUT, a bit challenging to construct. I LOVE not having nuts and bolts. I didn’t have help. But, what seems like a very easy task turns into a challenge without two people. If not aligned perfectly, parts will disconnect when hit with mallet to secure. Also, the tiny instructions are a bit confusing. It should explain that the second tier is only secure when rails for a shelf are connected in holes for top AND bottom tier. Again, without a second person holding parts, this is not easy.

The latest version of this shelf system is the best yet. Members Mark included a 4in angle clip to slide in-between the joint of the top and bottom corners. I have never been able to install the 4 corners and then the upper shelves. This went from an easy two-person job to a one-person job. These shelves have always been rugged, but now it is a much more stable unit. I still need a couple more units for my storage. The Member’s Mark shelves will be the ones I purchase. Plus, the price point is great!
