Great product, works well and I can only think of one thing I wish I could do. The maximum unlock time is 30 mins. As I use this on an internal door I could do with leaving it unlocked for longer periods. Appreciate that for external doors it is normal to have much shorter 'unlocked' sessions. But hey, its still a great product

This is a great product. My only complaint is the installation instructions could've been a little bit better.

We bought this lock because it was compatible with Airbnb. As soon as a reservation is made august sends a message through Airbnb with the guests code. Makes everything simple

This is the most reliable smart lock I have found. Other locks will run out of battery quickly or stop working for no reason. It's really convenient to install while keeping the same key for the deadbolt. It's sleek looking and really professional.

Works extremely well. The keypad addition by Yale is a nice physical touch as my son can come and go without a phone or keys. Apple home kit isn't quite working yet still troubleshooting this but I still give this device 5 stars. It's worth the convenience and peace of mind.

I purchased two August WiFi locks and keypads. The 1st lock took a lot of effort to get operational. It wouldn't update the firmware, so I had no choice than to be forced to contact support. I had the same experience with tye 1st keypad installation. The keypad was locked needing to engage support yet again. Needless ton say, it was a frustrating and time consuming experience. The 2nd lock and keypad went in without hitch. (The way it should be.) Overall the locks work well. They auto as expected, on the lock timer. Opening is easy when using the app, but the geofencing auto unlock is intermittent and unreliable. At times it unlocks as expected, but many times, it either opens too early, too late, or not at all. The other issue is when using two WiFi locks on the same account, you hqve to choose which lock to enable auto unlock on. You can only have ONE lock designated to do so. Not very convenient. The keypads work well, but there's a delay between when depressing the "open" button and the lock actually unlocking. (5-7 secs). If entering a 6 digit code, the entire process may take 10-15 sec. You could definitely gain entry faster , if using a key. Yeah it cooler to open with the August WiFi lock. I've had them installed for only two weeks, and have received the same negative feedback from all 4 of my family members. My last concern is the battery life. I'll bet these batteries won't last more than 2 months. The good news is the batteries can be swapped in only a few seconds thanks to the well designed magnetic cover. It pops off in a second, but securly stays put on unit. Overall this lock is Great for Autolocking. It give you a piece of mind knowing the doors are always locked, however, due to the locks being a little impractical to open, it not a perfect solution. It's a bit annoying that entity takes 10+ secs if using the keypad and that the Geofencing only works after you're 200 meters or more from the house to auto.(and that's if it works) If I have to pull my phone out to use the app to unlock the door, than there's no advantage over pulling out my key. Overall it's a good product, however it still needs further development. I would recommend it for auto locking your doors, but if your impatient, you may want to wait for a future version.

I have replaced the standard lock with this smart lock. It's a polished proven lock that works. However, the door sensor has not worked. I get an error after each attempt to calibrate. So that feature is not being used. Otherwise this would be a 5 star review. I also installed the keypad. It's really a small keypad and installs easily. It has a nice fit and finish with its lit background in red.

I purchased it a lil over a month ago. Originally installed it and the deadbolt wouldn't fit my door. Ended up having to purchase a separate deadbolt. Smart lock works good although I have issues with it constantly disconnecting from wifi and that shouldn't be an issue seeing that it's maybe a foot from my wireless access point. This causes problems when trying to access the lock remotely. Also the auto unlock feature works sporadic. When I walk to the door I often have to get my phone out for the door to unlock.

I purchased the wifi lock and keypad. When you purchase a wifi product one would assume you would be controlling the device over wifi. The lock is still only controlled over Bluetooth within Bluetooth range and a wifi bridge is needed for remote control. Having a wifi product that needs a wifi bridge to actually work over wifi is exceedingly frustrating.

I installed this 3 weeks ago and the battery is already dead! It's not even winter time… sunny and 50-90 degree days. This is for an air bnb that we are just staring and we've hardly used it. Very disappointed.
