Be sure you're storing your razor in its organizer to make sure air can circulate around the lubrastrip/cartridge after use. If you don't have an organizer, please store the razor face up and don’t store it face-down on the shower ledge, or with the lubrastrip in direct contact with any surface. Also, be sure to keep your razor/replacement cartridges away from direct contact with water when not in use and rinse blades lightly after use. Extensive rinsing will wear your lubrastrip down faster. Gently shake off excess moisture after rinsing the blades and let air dry. Our Gillette SkinGuard razor is designed to stop irritation and is clinically proven for sensitive skin. Because of this, you will not get as close a shave as you would expect from our Fusion family razors with 5 blades. This innovative razor uses SkinGuard technology positioned between two optimally-spaced blades to gently smooth and flattens the skin away from the razor blades during the shave. This ensures that hairs get trimmed at the surface level, with less tug and pull, but sensitive skin stays guarded against irritation. The SkinGuard technology also absorbs the weight from the hand so blades press less on sensitive skin. It also has lubrication before and after the blade to minimize friction during the shave.
