Our pool is rounded/amorphous so the skimmer robots will at certain points back up, turn, and keep cleaning. When the competitor did this it would spit out anything it had collected that was still floating inside of it. This resulted in areas we had to vacuum constantly as the competitor would deposit all manner of things. The Aiper? It has a flap, just like a skimmer door, that keeps the small floaters contained when it's maneuvering. Genius, 10/10 product design. It's also convenient to able to control it from my phone, but I don't use that function much. More I just check in occasionally with the battery percentage.

Yes, you could use a pool net but this thing picks up the tiny specks of grass that the net doesn’t get. It was easy to get going and low maintenance. The unboxing experience is really good and the set up was super easy. The big advantage of this robot is that you can also charge it manually in case there is no sunlight and the battery goes off, and it last for days. When it is sunny it recharges it automatically and it can go for weeks or even months without even touch it. Another great feature is the ability to control it from your smartphone. The robot connects to your app over bluetooth or wifi which is super cool and easy, you can for example check the battery level and also remote control your robot. I have an outdoor pool and dealing with debris is a constant problem: leaves, dust, insects… Previously, I had to constantly clean it with a net, which took a lot of time. Now I just lower the SurferS2 into the water and it does everything itself. It runs on a solar battery, so you don’t have to think about charging or mess with wires. Just set it and forget about it. It’s very convenient that there is a mobile app — you can literally direct it to the desired part of the pool or change the mode from the couch. In terms of efficiency, it’s absolutely fine! It perfectly collects both small debris and larger things like leaves. I was pleased with the capacious container — I don’t have to constantly run to empty it. In addition, it works almost silently — sometimes I even forget that it’s in the pool. To be honest, I found almost no downsides. The only thing is that on cloudy days it charges a little slower, but if you plan for this in advance, there are no problems. Overall, the Aiper SurferS2 is a really cool thing that saved me a lot of time and effort. Now the pool is always clean, and I can relax calmly, knowing that the device will do everything for me.
