I avoid using more than 3 cardstock at a time to cut because I didn't want to dull the blade. For paper I was able to use 10, and for construction paper as well.

I recently used it to cut some adhesive backed vinyl and it worked perfectly. Has easy to see and read measurement and angle markings for perfect cuts. Small and easy to store, but the 12-inch size handles larger work pieces. Great for cards, photos and a wide variety of craft pieces. It is reasonably priced and has a 5-year warranty.

This is not a commercial paper cutter, by any means, but for home or mall office use, it is great. I hate using scissors and not having straight lines on my cuts, and this does a terrific job of cutting cards and paper. I started out with single paper sheets and ended cutting through 8 sheets at once, and coming away with a perfectly straight, crisp cut. It only takes a minute or two to catch on how to use this one, it's so simple. I have had several desktop cutters over the years, this was easily the simplest, best cutter I've had. A lined grid system is included on the board, which is a great tool to have. You have two cutters, so you can position them on each end or start both at one end. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and effective this was to use.

There are two push-down cutting blades on the track, so if you don’t get through all of the sheets the first time, you can keep the project in place while you slide the second blade along the line and confirm that all the pages have been cleanly sliced to size.

It auto locks each time so you have to unlock it each time to open it which adds an extra couple of seconds and is a little annoying but it’s worth it to have nice clean cuts when working on projects.
