Great Shelves

I looked at every option out there. Local, online, all the places one could find something like this. I research like crazy before buying anything. So, let me tell you a few things I found out. 1) No tools required assemble, with the exception if you plan to anchor it to the wall. 2) Better capacity than any of the competitors. 2,500 pounds per shelf. The best I could find in any of competitors was 2,000 with most topping out at just 1,500 pounds per shelf. 3) Assembly of the first one took me about 45 minutes. That includes taking every piece out of the box and reading the directions prior to actually putting it together. I had to take off 3 shelves and adjust them to a better height. I included that time in the assembly. The second one only took me 10 minutes. 4) I will be buying more of these as soon as they are back in stock. The price point is more than $50 in savings and better quality than you'll find elsewhere!

This shelving unit is head and shoulders above anything offered by HD, Lowes or Amazon. Spanning crossbars attach with sturdy riveted heads into slots, not with bent metal tabs like the Huskys' found at HD. Those crossbars on the end uprights? They're actually welded in place making one-person assembly actually easy. Corner base plates will accommodate a 1/2" diameter stems, allowing for heavy duty casters. I plan on purchasing a second unit ASAP.

I thought I was getting a heavy duty shelf, especially since it’s costly, but it feels so flimsy. Some of the slats didn’t lock into place, even after using the mallet. Although the set up took about 20 mins, I was disappointed. Even the wire racks are flimsy and don’t lock into place, they just move around. The last shelf that we purchased for $100 less was more sturdy that this, and was heavier. I don’t know why that one is out of stock and have been for weeks with none being added any time soon, but this big, expensive, illusion is plentiful. Had the box not been collected for recycling, I would have returned it and just waited or shopped somewhere else.

Bought two online and had them shipped. Arrived in two days by FedEx but one arrived with a small crease in the upright that a piece of wood and a hammer fixed and hid by placing the banged up one against the wall. Needed two more and decided to purchase from a big box Home Improvement store since it’s only an hours drive away and I wanted to finish the job this weekend. Compared to the Sams Members Mark ones, those where of inferior quality and cost twice as much. Took them back for a full refund and drive an additional hour to SAMS.

The end pieces were welded together crooked. This caused the whole set of shelves to be off. It is impossible to get the pegs for the shelf supports in, and the grates for the shelves would not fit in. Unfortunately, there is no way to know all of this until you are most of the way done. I would have returned them, but I do not have any way to haul them.

The legs on both uprights were bent, as well as the wires on two of the shelves. I was able to straighten them enough to get the shelves assembled and be useful for my application, but it took me about an hour to get them to be good enough. They are definitely not like new. I really don't think FedEx did this damage, either. The package had to be crushed from a side that is very unlikely to have happened during regular shipping. It probably happened in a shipping container shift or warehousing incident. I saw others complaining of the same damage in their reviews. There are probably a large number of these damaged in the same manner. The nearest Sam's Club is over 300 miles from me, so returning it wasn't a very simple option. Be sure you have a Club nearby to return this, or you may regret buying it. These shelves would be nice, and a decent price if they hadn't been damaged.

Watched a you tube video or two on this. They had to have some connection to Sam's Club as the unit went together in about 20 minutes. Took my daughter and I more than two hours of LABOR to get two of these put together. The locking system did not line up and this caused all kinds of problems getting everything aligned. Beat them into submission. I think I'll leave them in the house when we sell!!

Very simple to put together. If you start with thr bottom and put the top shelves on first it's quick and easy to install all the shelves by yourself. I love that the shelves are adjustable. They look nice and seem very sturdy. Best price around! Paid $199 each.

LOVE this storage rack! It was easy to assemble, but has solid construction and holds heavy items with ease. No worries about bent rails, shaky construction, or anything. I could lay on this and it wouldn't move at all. Love it and highly recommend it!
