[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!!! The GE Profile icemaker is a game changer in my home. We love that we can just scoop and fill our cups. We have even been making our own version of a snow cone with the ice it produces. No more ice trays to fill. It fits nicely on my counter, It doesn't take up much space, looks sleek, and blends well with the countertop. My only complaint is that the outside tank hasn't worked since we set it up. Im happy for the inside tank. I just put a bottle of spring water in, and shortly, there's ice. The double tank is a great idea. It is also cool that the setup was easy.I love how when you use ice, it automatically begins replenishing as long as there is water in the tank. If contemplating on purchasing, contemplate no more.get it ,you will not be disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] super good ice maker, and it makes the perfect soft ice! it isn’t too loud and is just a quiet humming that is barely noticeable. the instructions are also super easy to follow and it is super easy to clean. it makes ice so fast too! and the ice lasts for so long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the GE Opal ice maker for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become a staple in my house. The crunchy ice it produces is fantastic- crunchy cubes that rival that of Sonic’s offering. One of the best things is how fast it gets started; ice begins coming out at around the 20-25 minute mark. Once this happens, you can clearly hear the ice being produced and extruded- it is a squeaking sound of sorts. The machine is still quite quiet however, which is a big bonus as some ice makers can be quite noisy. I also love that the ice stays frozen overnight. I can turn it off before bed and wake up to a fully stocked ice tray in the morning, which is extremely convenient for filling up water bottles and the like in the morning. The water capacity is impressive too, especially with the included side tank. One fill of the tank lasts a day or so of heavy ice consumption, but can stretch out for a good few days assuming you don’t use all that much ice. However, there are a few downsides. The Opal does require regular cleaning and descaling, especially if you’re using it nonstop, which can be a bit of a hassle. Further, the stainless steel exterior, while sleek and elegant, tends to show smudges and fingerprints easily. Not a big deal if you wipe it down regularly, but nonetheless it can get annoying. I must also note that this is a large machine, and takes up a significant amount of counter space. Overall, the GE Opal (OPAL01GEWKT) delivers fast and high-quality ice with an elegant design, making it a great choice if you’re willing to keep up with the maintenance.

This is our third ice maker. The first one worked beautifully for a couple of years then developed a black debris in the ice I could not overcome. I even took the machine apart( warranty expired anyway) and deep cleaned could not get it to stop forming in ice every three days. Bought a new one, only to return it immediately because the water cycles into the ice bin melting the ice when ice is taken from the bin. This one ( number 3) does the exact same thing. I’m tired of returning them and it makes perfect ice so I’ll just be content to have my ice melt a bit every time I harvest ice from the bucket. I really don’t know what else to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recieved this nugget ice maker from influenster for an honest review I’m going to say I love it it came right on time as my fridge the ice maker does not work and I been having to buy ice every few days it gives u full ice in about 10-15 minutes. I can say this is the best I love it

This is the 2nd Opal ice machine I have owned. The first one I didn’t have the best luck with. They ended up having to send me 4 units before I got one that worked over 2 months. And then the 4th one didn’t work more than 1.5 years. So hoping this one does better. We will see.

Setup was quick, and it started producing ice in under 10 minutes. The side tank is a great feature—it holds extra water, so I don’t have to refill it constantly. It makes a good amount of ice per cycle, and the bullet-shaped cubes are perfect for drinks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the crunchiness of the ice that this makes! It also didn't taste like tap water. Althought it is a bit on the heavy and bulkier side, and it took a while to make ice the first time but the noise level is low so it didn't bother me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This may be my new favorite appliance. I always had to go out to get the good nugget ice but now I can have it right at home. It filled up completely in such a short amount of time. It’s not too loud either. We cleaned it before putting it together and it was very easy.

Wish it held more ice and is quite loud at start up.
