Nugget ice is a must in our household. My wife simply adores it! 10/10 would buy again, especially on sale. ALWAYS use distilled water (plan for 1/2 gallon or more daily), and properly clean the machine when indicated.

We have been looking for good ice maker. Purchased this one, setup and initial start hard to follow. After just working over 1 night fan started squealing. Do not buy!!!

Just what my kitchen needed, I upgraded from the 1st gen & I'm so happy I did. This color is perfect!

Didn't even work for one day, it made a horrible screeching noise and cycled water constantly. We tried everything to make it work properly, ended up having to return it to the store.

Planning to return. Purchased on 7/31/26 and within a week it's already making a loud screeching sound that only is remedied by turning it off for a few hours but can possibly happen again same day. Really hoping it's just a defect.

It made great ice for a few months. Then it started making terrible screeching %26 other crazy noises heard throughout the entire house. The dog could hear it outside %26 would make him bark. Would not waste your money on this item.

Ice maker worked for 2 weeks, called the service number 5 times. The ice marker has to be returned then they will send a replacement when it is back in stock. 😟

This is absolutely the best ice maker I have ever bought and I have bought at least 6! I just can’t say how amazed I am with this machine. It makes ice fast and keeps the bin full. Tank is easy to fill and I use filtered water, not tap water. I love the soft pellet ice so much better than the nugget ice. Should have bought this one the first time! Excellent price, great purchase! GE products rock! One note, this machine was too high to fit under our cabinets so had to place on our bar cart which was fine!

This icemaker works exactly as it should. It starts producing pellets within a few minutes. It will fill the bin with wonderful soft pellets in a little over an hour. The added side tank, makes it a breeze to fill. We fill the tank every other day. With the tank, you never have to check the water level inside the icemaker. We run ours on a smart outlet. We turn it on at 7:00AM and off at 7:00PM. Overnight the ice mostly melts and it all goes into the internal reservoir It is fast and reasonably quiet. All you hear is a faint hum and the ice pellets dropping. We've tried several, and this one is the clear winner.

I always wanted a nugget ice maker and this one is a perfect match. It's size allows plenty of ice, refills quickly and still fits on the counter. I tried it without the side tank initially, but found that we were refilling the internal tank daily (that's how good the ice is!). With the side tank, we only have to refill it weekly.
