We purchased this ice maker not even a year ago and it has already broke. Warranty covered it but we was told a new warranty will not be issued and this new machine will go off our old machine so it will expire in July. It broke before a year so I’m worried this $400 machine will become a paperweight before next year.

If we could give it zero stars we would. We owned this for less than 3 months and it started making these loud screeching noises. Even though it didn't indicate that it needed it, we gave it a good clean and it still screeched and screeched. Terrible... Certainly not what we expected from a GE Profile product.

Great product

Two stars because the ice is great… when the machine works. It makes a loud banging sound when it doesn’t. We know how to make it stop, but it will do it almost daily. Middle of the night wake up calls are frequent because it starts making the banging sound at all hours of the day. Even with the manufacturer’s help and guidance to get it to stop making the sound, it only stops temporarily.

Ice stays cold and does'nt waste water, love size and softness of ice

Purchased this for my wife and the entire family loves !! The drinks taste so much better !!

The first one worked for about a day, and literally came to a grinding halt. The replacement wouldn’t even turn on. These machines are a terrible design and Im really surprised Sams Club is allowing them to be sold. Pay attention to the reviews, it isn’t just a few bad apples, it is just an overall bad product. (The Opal customer service didn’t even try to have me get it repaired, they told me to send it back within 30 seconds of the phone call)

do not waste your money on this piece of junk! GE can not make an ice make worth a dang. this makes a terrible noise while making ice it is unbearable. i am definitely returning it and getting another brand. this a junk! A photo wont due justice, i cant post a video i made of the noises this produces!
