This is so much better than I thought it would be. If you install it correctly it works great. You have to read the directions. If it is too long, grab a tape measurer. Thats it. Just adjust the length. Its not that hard. My wife loves it. Cuts way down on flies in the house.

Easy to install. Magnets on top were not coming together when I installed it. I had to pull and press the top center further up like ^. It worked like a charm. While pasting the strips on either sides, I used count of magnets to space them. While installing, top should not be sagging. It has to be perfect horizontal or a little inclined in the center (this brings the magnets back together). Use the vertical stripes to align the sides in straight line. It is ok to be little loose. There was thunder storm the first night. It held up pretty good with open doors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took this product out of the box, and my first thought was it was flimsy. The mesh is very thin, and the panel is very lightweight (that part is actually a good thing). I just thought the mesh would easily tear. So, for the purpose of this review, I tried to see if I could tear a small area of the mesh. It didn’t tear! The panel hung quite nicely in the doorway with the included tape strips and stayed in place. The magnets were also powerful and joined again very easily after separation. This mesh panel serves its purpose and does it quite well.

The Magic Mesh works great and does exactly what it claims to do. However, we have an aluminum doorframe and quickly learned that the small velcro stickers that attach the screen to the frame were too weak to be effective--they peeled off easily and the mesh fell under its own weight. We corrected this by buying larger strips of heavy-duty velcro at a hardware story and using them to replace the strips that came with the kit, after which it worked so well that it quickly became a summer necessity! The repair job we did was easy and inexpensive, and we like our Magic Mesh, but it seemed a shame we had to spend extra money--even if it was only five more bucks--to get the product to function as it should.

Just installed the magic mesh this evening. Thought it would be a great way to keep the bugs out and would give my dogs access to the backyard. One dog went through the mesh screen and immediately three magnets flew off. I still haven't found all the parts that flew off and since one of my dogs eats anything he can find I am praying he didn't ingest any of the parts! If you used the mesh as a base and put your own magnets on it or really reinforced the way the magnets attach maybe it will work for you. My opinion total piece of junk!

This is a nice idea, but bad design. They use Magnets on to close this mesh, and they have velcro straps on to place the magic mesh on the door.....Nice idea, but your getting what you have paid for.... The very first hour, it started to come off, the velcro straps has started to come off...:( It's designed only to come with only so many velcro straps.....this thing is garbage... It equals one thing...TRASH!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for Arizona winter, when we want to keep the door open without letting bugs in, while still allowing our dog in and out! It was easy to set up and adhesive sticks well. It doesn't seem extremely durable so definitely curious to see how long it lasts, but overall it's been a great addition so far.

My dogs can go in and out with out bothering me every 10 minutes to take them out. while the inside is still protected from all the bugs coming in. But the only down side is that it is starting to show some wear and tear around the magnetic clasp.
