As a father with 2 kids, it's great to be able to put my kids down for bed and get an hour on this. It works so well. I've been amazed at how great this runs

Love this! Didn't think I would use it as much as I have been, but it's a daily staple now. Feels great while playing, not very heavy at all. Make sure you're WiFi is good, I have the highest tier from spectrum and if there are too many things connected to the network, you will experience occasional lag. However it is very minimal and hasn't had any effects on my overall experience.

I decided to buy the "psp" before the price went up and for 199 you can't go wrong. I'll start with the pros... this is the most comfortable handheld gaming device I've ever played. I played it for 2 hours straight I can't do that with my switch 2. one of the other reason I decided to purchase this, is it added cloud gaming. you can play game you own or games on PlayStation catalog! the games look great, but I have have fast Internet so I didn't have any issues besides 1 or 2 hiccups, but nothing major. now the cons. well first if you have slow bargain internet this probably isn't going to work very good. I would try streaming a game on your PS5 before you shell out money for this. this device depends on the Internet so you play offline!. you need PlayStation premium to play cloud gaming not a problem for me because I was already subscribed. in closing the addition of cloud gaming made this worth it for me. I wanted to play PS5 in my sunroom or in bed and don't like to move my PS5 around so this is great for me!

If you want a awesome device to have next to your ps5 or ps5 pro this is it! You can use it to stream games from you console to this ps portal and the games looks great and smooth on the screen, And cloud gaming looks great and little to no input lag and with the new system update you don't even have to use your console or even have a console to use this handheld if you have ps plus! The ps portal also has great build quality and very comfortable in the hand while also having every feature on it just like the ps5 controller, And even the screen is really beautiful and the value is great also. So it does get a solid 5 stars from me i love it👍

Overall, it's a pretty good machine, but I ultimately ended up returning it. Aside from some occasional lag, my main issue was with syncing; a lot of the time, my gameplay on the Portal wouldn't sync up with my PS5, or vice versa. When you couple those connectivity headaches with the mandatory monthly subscription cost just to play online, it just wasn't worth keeping.

I like this system a lot. it can be fun. although it has some major flaws. streaming is so bad. unless you have super fast internet connection on ps5 and same for pottal it lags so bad. the idea is great but needs its own inteney service. which makes it a bit useless. i can leave my room and play in living room which can be nice. so no wouldnt recommend.

This item is not worth the money . It's only good if you're at someone house visit nearby not something you can travel with. The game should be able to download games and be use as handheld when traveling also but it's not.I was disappointed . I thought the handheld was more like switch Nintendo but it's not. It's only good for if you're out at a nearby neighbor or in the neighborhood. Because you have to leave your PS console on to use the handheld because your PS console can turn it self off sometimes if that happens you can't play the handheld. I don't recommend this game if you like to game while traveling long distances. It's a no for me. Sorry I brought it.

Definitely do your research, I thought this was its own console unit. No one really explained from the research that I did that all it does is connect and pretty much “Bluetooth”, for a lack of better words, Your already standing PS5 to this. It’s nice but it’s not what I thought it was. My son was able.to use it on a trip long distance but there was times it wouldn’t work also. Depends really on the kinda wifi you have, it did suck we had to leave his ps5 on at home so it could connect away.

Its fun to use but you need sufficient Wifi or it doesnt work. It works best as home but by then you might as well play the PS5 on your TV. AND you have to pay for the best subscription for it to work outside of using your PlayStation. Its honestly not worth it.

This is a sad experience coming from Sony. When will the greed be enough? “$250 app with the battery of an iPad and a goofy controller layout” (“oh but adap-“ it's corny. And unless you're playing an old old game or maybe MineCraft would it be remotely not uncomfortably awkward to use.) This has the potential to be so great, but Sony paywalls the most basic software I mean bro I'm ready for them to not support household console sharing at this rate. You can't even switch users on this, oh I mean you can't but you have to sign out on the portal and the app and then sign into your other account on your app just so you can scan the QR code to log into that account. Just writing this makes me sick to my stomach.
