I like most sam's cakes and find them to be good values. If found this cake to be very good, not dry at all. And I like my cakes sweet, otherwise I wouldn't get a cake. Nor do I want giant peanut butter cupcak disguised as a cake. If you have been waiting for cakes to reappear as Sam's, this one fits the bill.

I purchased this cake to dress up for Grandpa's 80TH birthday. I made a big batch of chocolate cream ganache to fill the white center on top and used vanilla melting wafers to write a giant 80 on top of cake. It was delightful and the cake itself is so rich, very much worth the price.

I had this cake in the past, and it was beautiful, flavor ok. I recently had it delivered and I received an unfinished product. The cake was iced, the chocolate drizzle, and the piping was done, but NO DECORATION.: The "chocolate" balls, wafers, lace - nothing! It looks like my "shopper" grabbed the picked over garbage or grabbed a "go back" from the unsalable stock. Also, a section was smooshed-in showing obvious damage, but the lid was clean - like it was dropped and the lid was replaced to not be too obvious. This bare cake left me to run out and buy toppings to complete it. As other's have mentioned, it has no flavor - it looks like it would be delicious, but falls way short in delivery.

I honestly didn't expect much but it was surprisingly good. The cake was super moist the frosting was on the sweeter side but overall pretty good. It was a great choice will buy again. I did let it sit out for 60-90 minutes before cutting and the center was NOT frozen.
