[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My fiancé and I started lifting weights almost two years ago and we have heard about many different pre-workouts. We decided to try this Optimum Nutrition AMIN.O. Energy + Electrolytes and we were both really surprised at the boost it gives you. You can take this at any point during the day but we have been taking it 30 minutes before our workouts. I really felt more adrenaline and I even improved on my pull up numbers. It gives you more energy and the electrolytes are great for hydration so I’m happy to take them in anywhere I can. The drink itself has 100mg of caffeine, from natural sources. It also has 5 grams of amino acids which is great for repairing after a workout, especially weight training. This one was watermelon flavored and it honestly tasted like watermelon candy; A bit to sweet for my taste.

I drink It with one or two scoops depending on how much caffeine I want. This has been a great drink to help me cut out my second (and sometimes 3rd) cup of daily coffee. The energy it gives me feels balanced and not jittery. It is also a great drink for the morning after any drinking.
