First Bissell I haven't liked

Bought this to try before buying one for mom. Its going back. My 20 year old cannister vac and dust mop with Murphy Oil Soap does better, Main problems are; doesn't fit under furniture so ended up moving a lot of furniture, doesn't reach almost an inch against walls, cabinets, etc., heavier and more effort needed compared to mop or steam mop., short cord and small collection bin. Over the years I've had everything from the big green and proheat carpet cleaners to the steam mop and this one, while a good idea, has serious flaws and bottom line takes more effort and strength than vacuum and mop.

A big let down

I used this for a couple months and was generally ok with it. I knew it wasn't do any deep cleaning but was good for a quick clean. But recently my dog had an accident on the tile floor and I wiped up the area and then cleaned it with the crosswave (pet formula) twice in 12 hours. The floor still smelled bad so I used my inexpensive microfiber mop and some ms meyers cleaner and it got rid of the smell. More importantly though I noticed how much dirt was on my mop even though I had crosswaved the area 2x. I think the machine is a great idea but is incredibly wimpy. I'd pay more for a more powerful and effective machine. I'd also like it if the brush was about about 4-6" wider to cover more area per pass.

Awesome cleaner owner for 3 years

I have had my cleaner for 3 years with absolutely no issues. People on here reviewing about the parts are probably forcing the plastic head off. I've had 0 issues with my cleaner for the past 3 years. You do have to at least rinse the dirty water tank before storage. If dirty water is leaking it is most likely due to the filter not being put on correctly. The parts have to be placed correctly for it to work properly and it can easily not be pushed in all the way which is probably the issue these other review are having. 3 people in my family has bought this item because of me and not a single complaint from anyone. I love this appliance, definitely a time saver for me!

Game changer for mopping floors!

I bought this after seeing many commercials for the cordless version, but after reading the reviews for the cordless version I opted for this corded version and I don't regret it! Wow, my floors are the cleanest that they have been in years! Truly a game-changer when cleaning my floors. Thank you!

Great Cleaner - one stop

I used to use the cordless vac, then dry swifter, then wet swifter or steamer on our composite floors This is one stop cleaning! Plus this is a great combo deal with the extra brushes and cleaners. I clean a minimum once per week. This week using this machine I couldn't believe how black the water was! I used this on the low pile throw rugs worked great!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

10/10! I couldn't be happier with my Bissell CrossWave! It's worth every penny! I have a 110 pound boxer that requires me to use it literally everyday because of all the hair in our house, and it 100% works. My favorite feature is the east clean storage tray! I use it frequently while I use my Bissell CrossWave to clean the brush periodically so I'm not using a dirty brush the whole time. My only complaint is how dirty and gross the tank is to clean out but that only means my nasty floor is now very clean! **I suggest legitimately cleaning out the tank after every use or it'll smell terrible quickly!**

Game Changer

I highly recommend this machine. It works great on my hard and carpeted floors, even tough spots. Doesn't get clogged up with pet hair and comes apart easily for cleaning. This is a game changer for anyone, but especially if you have lots of animals.

Doesn't last for long!

I loved this at first. My only complaint when we first got it was that it can't get around the edges of the rooms to clean. It did work well for about 2 months. Then we started to notice that it was sucking up less and less water. It was still vacuuming fine, but it was just squirting out water and leaving most of it on the floor. We always take it apart and clean it after each use, but when we started having troubles, we changed the brush, bought a new filter, and really tried to clean out any hair or anything that may have been stuck anywhere. That didn't help though. It continued to get worse and worse and at just over a year old, ours just makes mud out of the dirt on our floor and smears it around and leaves it there. It no longer suctions up any water at all.

Sadly, more work than mopping

The good news is it does what it says but the clean-up is disgusting and you have to do it frequently. With dogs and dirt (I do live on farm acreage) after one room the head of the cleaner is gunked up and it leave streaks of mud and crud. And did I say the cleanup is disgusting? The water/solution well is thankfully a separate well for clean water but the liquid and the hair and dirt you clean up collect in the same place so the vacuum needs to be thoroughly cleaned after use (way more work than washing a mop head and way ickier) and the dust cakes because of the moisture, - and I mean it needs to be cleaned after each room - unless you do this 3 times a week and don't have pets or kids - or work outside. Also, no cleaning attachments so if you think you'll get away with just this vacuum, nope... need to purchase one for furniture and window wells. Oh and it is quite heavy, though not a problem for me, not something I would recommend for my mother. All this said, it has a purpose but buy extra filters, rollers, rubber gloves for the clean up and get ready for the extra work you bought this to avoid. Sooooooooooo disappointed.

Love it.

I have been looking for an easier way to clean my parents hard wood floors and ceramic tiles with grout. Before the only way to get them truly clean was on my hands and knees to clean and dry so the water didn't settle in the wood. The Crosswave did what I did with out getting on my hands and knees.
