Didn't realize these had chickory root extract in it. For some reason my body cannot digest it, and it feels like a punch in the gut and then I spend an hour on the toilet. I didn't figure out the root cause until the 3rd or 4th bar out of the box. They were delicious though.

The recipe must have changed with these bars because the 2 and a half boxes I have had taste way different than before. I can't tell if its the recipe or Vons got a a bad shipment. The Chocolate tastes stronger (Not sure if it's the Choclate liquer in the chips) you can't taste the peanut butter anymore and every other bar sometimes has a burnt peanut taste. I miss when these tasted like a literal Peanut butter cup Bar.

I've been buying these bars for years and rely on them as a good snack for someone diabetic since they are lower in carbs than other bars. But now I am so disappointed in the new packaging and unfortunately found out while traveling in the car that these bars are impossible to open by hand! I demolished the bar trying to open it with my nails, my teeth, etc. It is impossible to use these bars as a convenient on-the-go snack if you don't travel with scissors. PLEASE go back to the original packaging!!!

We are huge fans of Nature Valley products AND PB/chocolate combo snacks so I was excited to see these listed on Sam's website. However, I am very disappointed in these. They are dry and have a horrible artificial sugar flavor, much like a diet bar. Definitely will not be purchasing these again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nature Valley bars I bought were actually oats and honey not peanut butter. They tasted pretty good but were a little too hard for my taste. I like that Nature Valley makes granola bars that are nut free since I have a child with nut allergies.

The bars taste fabulous. The packaging is horrible! For years, the wrappers were great and easy to open. Recently, the wrapper material was changed to something that is tough, thick, stretchy and impossible to tear open with your hands. Manually clipping a starting cut won't even do it, the packaging just will not tear. These new wrappers must be fully sliced open with scissors or razor blade. Pretty unsafe to do, especially hard for the elderly.. Not good for a supposedly active, on the go snack. Please return to the old wrappers.

They provide a tasty and healthy alternative to snacking and are great after a workout. I would definitely recommend it and have! So far nothing buy good reviews from those who have tried them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd been looking for a new protein bar for a long time. I wanted one that tasted good and had at least 10g of protein. Nature Valley's fit the bill perfectly. It's like having a great, chunky peanut butter bar. I love 'em!

The net carbs here is the winner. These aren't a high protein bar in that they only have 10 grams but they have less than 10 net carbs so they are a good filling snack. I don't know why people gave negative reviews on taste. They taste great to me and they don't use artificial sweeteners.
