[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I make all of my cookies from scratch except for sugar cookies. That's because cookies made with Betty Crocker mix taste homemade. The dough is easy to roll out and shape into fun cookies for every holiday!

Horrible. This used to be a great product but not anymore. I'm super disappointed in the current product that just produces an overly sticky lump of dough. I used to use it for cut outs and vars but no longer. Back to scratch for me. This used to be as good as scratch.

If you asked me what my dream meal was, it would have concluded with a strawberry frosted Betty Crocker funfetti cupcake. These days, I do try to eat healthier despite my sweet tooth. I like that the ingredients here are straight forward, but man, I wish it was healthier! So much sugar, oil, white flour. That said, this brand is inexpensive and makes for easy, tasty baked goods. The sugar cookie mix is great with or without icing and is the perfect way to whip up/cheat a bake sale dish or cookies for friends.

I used your 21 oz sugar cookie mix and had zero luck with the dough. I used a second bag because I thought I may have not followed the directions properly. I then went with a regular home sugar cookie recipe without any issues. The cookies would not stick together and broke apart just trying to cut them and put them on a cookie sheet. When cooked they fell apart. My daughter-in-law used the same Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix, which she has used for years and had the same issue. I do not know if this is a common problem but I felt I needed to bring this to your attention.

This is an easy way to prepare sugar cookies. It doesn't require much prep work and has simple step by step directions. The cookies can be rolled out so you can use cookie cutters to make shapes. They can be baked easy and then iced and decorated with less fuss and more fun. They taste great and are easy to prepare.

Making these allows you make something special for someone without the fuss of making them totally from scratch. These are equally appreciated by the recipient! As for what I liked....EASY-PEASY, the taste and versatility to put your own spin on them such as colored sugars depending on the season/holiday. They taste DELCIOUS!

I usually make our cookies from scratch. I saw this in club and thought I would save myself some time and energy. It took me more time than my usual recipe and added a ton of stress! Using the cut out recipe it was a balled up crumbly mess! If you're making cut out cookies use a whole stick of butter like the drop cookie recipe calls for. That prevented the crumbles and saved our party! I will never buy these again. I'll stick to my usual recipe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Directions are easy to follow. Best to leave the butter out on the counter to soften—do not melt it in microwave. Also, for best results, pull the cookie sheet out a little before you think they are done and let sit on top of stove for a couple minutes before transferring to a bread board to completely cool—results in a softer cookie. Highly recommend these for when you are short on time but want something that tastes homemade.
