I love that there aren’t any wires that need to be hooked up (just need a good Wi-Fi connection). This makes it easy to move around…also works great as a nanny cam and has a wide field of focus…you can even set it up and “arm” it and it will send you notifications on your phone. I really don’t have anything negative to say about it.

This camera features a spot light, 2 way noise canceling audio, color night vision, motion detection, 1080P high definition, live streaming and more. Its even customizable for times its active if you so choose. Can't wait to finish exploring all the great features ARLO has to offer and probably add more cameras to the system as we love it so much . I do wish it came with a longer charging cord and brick to possibly charge it outside in place. Other than that I absolutely am thrilled with the quality of this unit very clear and great battery life so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Essential XL Outdoor Camera HD-1-Cam is a nice outdoor camera for your home. I use this camera at the back door of my home. It is nice to have a way to monitor my home. The camera is charged with a usb cable, and it only has to be charged about once a week. There is an app that you use to view the video from the camera. I had to mute the notifications because they were excessive. The video from the camera has good visibility. One improvement suggestion would be to give more movability to the attachment that holds the camera. I have been pleased with this camera and I will continue to use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is nice for the use i have. I use it to keep an eye on my dog downstairs and while i am away. It is very heavy so i was a bit nervous to mount it against the house. It was very easy to charge and set up in the app. Like all cameras if its kind, you have to pay for a subscription to review prior recorded footage. We have a great signal with various wifi spots in the house, the main router right by the camera, and there was still a delay with connection. The picture was crisp and clear, but that delay means you can't really call it real time, so if you intend to watch for things in the exact moment. Its not happening. You can zoom, but there is no panning around. I assume this is a price point issue though, so you get what you are paying for. Overall, this is an average camera that gets the job done. I would recommend, but not for emergency type situations.

As you see on my pictures the day and night view is super clear. I can leave my home knowing it’s being watch by Arlo and notifying me of movements. Recommended 100%

We have a doorbell camera and this one actually captures more with a clearer picture! Only issueis having some trouble startingit and connections to the app. Once figured that out its been great!

I have worked with arlo customer support for weeks day and night to get the cameras working, but still cannot get them to work. the motion detection doesn't save to cloud. the cvr doesn't work, despite paying $105/month extra for it, they turn black and white during the daytime, live streaming has issues. I have factory reset them, upgraded Internet speed, bought new modem and router, had spectrum technician come out to give me new wall jacks and cords and screws and plugs and Ethernet cords to verify I am getting 1,000/35 Mbps speed. I bought an ultra hub. I replaced it with another ultra hub. I sent arlo my file logs. i still can't get them to work. I have removed and re added them, factory reset and resubscribed to cvr, reset the hub, and tried everything. I just can't get these cameras to work.the live streaming even fails sometimes. i spent $300 on a professional technician to install them but still can't get them working. I keep escalating to higher level technical team at arlo, but nobody can get them working. it's very frustrating, as I have invested countless hours and reached out to customer service dozens of times and troubleshooted everything over and over again, but they just don't work. arlo did send me a replacement hub and 1 replacement camera out of the 6 I bought, but I still can't get them functioning. I am awaiting another call back from arlo tomorrow.
