It's a light weight, almost fluffy potting soil mix specially designed for raised bed planting. It doesn't clump up and isn't heavy like other potting mix brands so thats perfect for raised beds. This potting soil/mix is loose, fluffy in texture and will give my veggies and herbs optimal room to grow roots in my raised beds. It's an excellent nutrient-rich soil mixture that will help my garden plants look their best and produce veggies and herbs. I would definitely recommend trying this premium organic raised bed soil mix from Back to the Roots, and I plan to purchase more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Back to the Roots - "Better" Raised Bed Mix arrived just in time to add to my Winter raised bed gardens. Living in the South you're lucky enough to grow year-round. I absolutely love this soil. because you actually get SOIL and not a bunch of sticks and rocks. Therefore, making it the best medium for growing seedlings too. I have to sift other brands, so my seedlings germinate better, not with the case with Back to the Roots soils. All my raised beds have a thin layer of Back to the Roots "Better" Raised Bed Mix on them now. Like previously, I expect all my vegetables to sprout now quickly. Back to the Roots is in my opinion top notch quality products. Thank you, I'm extremely grateful and happy!

The soil itself looks very rich unlike my clay soil on the ground. It didn't have the ugly worthless fillers that so many have in their potting soils lately. I really liked this soil and have bought more and will continue to buy this.

I always wanted to start a mini raised garden to make some fresh veggies that I like. This soul made the growing process so much easier. I have two gardening boxes for vegetables in the warmer months and a few pots that use to grow herbs on my windowsill when it's chilly. I needed a change out of the soil I was using and decided to give this a go. It's AMAZING!! For my inside herbs, I plant them in a plastic pot then put that pot into a ceramic pot without holes on the bottom. I then fill it with about 2" of water to let the herbs kind of water themselves. The mint and basil on my windowsill has exploded since the transplant. Great, rich, earthy-smelling soil that holds on to moisture and isn't super woodchippy (you ever get soil like that??). I can't wait to dump out my gardening boxes in a month's time and start sowing cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used the Back to the Roots all-purpose planting soil to start my tomatoes. This soil is light and easy to work with. Somehow, it manages to maintain moisture, unlike soil I've used in the past. There is no harsh smell. Looks like I may have to switch the soil I'm using for my fresh vegetables and fruits for sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Back to the Roots "Better" Raised Bed Mix from Influenster for my honest review. I was thrilled when I received the bag of soil. It came right on time when I was about to plant some veggies in the raised beds. The soil has earthworm castings which offered a rich source of nutrients and promoted growth to the plants. I put the soil on a few vegetables plants and the plant has been green and thriving. The scent of the soil was very earthy and woody and the packaging was easy to carry and open. I would definitely recommend this soil for raised beds.
