It really retains the moisture so I don’t need to water as often. We are setting up our raised garden beds today and planting some tomato plants we bought. Ours got a blight from all the rain. This bed mix will work beautifully!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Back to the Roots Organic Raised Bed Mix because I wanted to try a different soil to combat this heat. I do not have a raised bed but I repotted my recently bought cherry tree. It says that this tree appreciates to be well watered. I am not good at watering my plants , sad to say. With this triple digit heat that does not let up I thought that this new mix of soil would help to retain the water better. And I am glad to say that it is holding on to the water it gets. I would not recommend this soil for plants that can't stand soggy roots. My tree has flowers on it and I noticed its first cherry! I am happy with the results and not wanting to lose my special plants I think that I will buy this again for certain areas that just bake in the heat. Otherwise the regular soil would be fine. #trynatural

I also planted some seasonal flowers in the raised bed using this soil from Back To The Roots and the quality of the mix is definitely the highest! I now need to try the other mixes from this brand!

I always wanted to start a mini raised garden to make some fresh veggies that I like. This soul made the growing process so much easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The soil feels, looks, and smells very nutrient rich. I have several acreage I plant on so the value for myself is okay. I buy in bulk. I would use this for a potted plant.I am not sure if it is effective because the Avacado seeds will need to go & produce. Although the soil holds water well, it is dark in color which is a good sign of good soil.

I guess it helps with loosening the dirt mix with native soil. I poured the whole bag over my raised bed, it acts as a fertilizer and mulch. My tomatoes, cucumbers, and okra are doing well.
