I needed a new power washer, and after years of dealing with poor quality Big Box store consumer units with bad pumps and motors that took 10 minutes to start, I went looking for a better solution. First off, the motor. I have several Honda motor products from a track driven snow thrower to an edger trimmer system. They all start on the first pull...I mean ALWAYS. So the Honda motor was a must-have. Next item was the pump. I refused to buy another non-rebuildable pump. After looking at all types of models, it was clear the only pump to go with was the CAT triplex. Last, the frame and wheels. Water causes rust...duhhh...so the idea of an Aluminum frame was exactly the ticket along with pneumatic tires that can be refilled with air after a season of storage. This unit has all of what I think are the minimum requirements for a power washer that you plan on keeping for many years. I was also pleasantly surprised on the quality of the wand and hose, which are both dramatically thicker and stronger than consumer units. The only negative is because the hose is much more rigid, it takes a little getting used to in preventing coil ups. The power is amazing and although I bought the same PSI as my previous unit, this one is far more powerful. (probably more accurate than the consumer version). Don't even consider the "Big Box" version of the Simpson products. They are scaled down and cheapened versions with painted metal frames, lower quality pumps and probably a lot of other cut corners. If you're a homeowner or small business owner, go with this exact commercial grade model and you will not regret it! .

I got this a few weeks ago and have used it twice. So far, I am very impressed with the build quality and performance of this unit. I was looking to a pressure washer that would last me a long time - not a throw away unit that I would have to replace in a few years. Most units at the big box stores are throw away consumer products. Stepping up to this unit gets you both a commercial quality Honda engine and a CAT water pump. That's a great combo! It also came with quick release hose connections, which the cheaper units don't. I am very happy with it!

I'm a dentist and I did my homework and went for this pressure washer because of the Honda engine, the CAT Triplex pump, and Simpson has a good reputation. Easy to use and start. If the cord is getting tight when you are trying to Pull it, try to hold the trigger on the spray gun at the same time!

I’m new to pressure washers. Used item for 4 hrs so far / for three different times. Well it’s very difficult to start with having to hold the trigger open while starting, not a one man job. Had to get the wife to hold the wond and trigger open while I played with the motor. Other thing is that it shakes a lot causing the tires to wear badly leaving black marks on the cement which you have to clean off with the washer again. Also I noticed the water input screen was partially rubberized from the factory not allowing proper water flow to the pump. Cleaned the rubber coating from the screen and it worked better. It’s not so easy to move around, must stand to side while walking it to new location. Jury is still out for me. hope it lasts
