The picture quality is absolutely gorgeous — deep, perfect blacks, vibrant colors, and excellent contrast. Movies look cinematic, sports are smooth, and even older content benefits from the AI upscaling. This screen size in OLED really transforms the room into a home theater. Picture Quality The OLED evo panel is phenomenal. Dark scenes have incredible detail thanks to the perfect black levels, and bright highlights really pop. Dolby Vision content looks especially impressive. Even in a moderately bright room, the TV holds up well. Gaming Performance If you’re a gamer, this TV is a dream. With 120Hz (and support for higher VRR rates), super low input lag, and compatibility with G-Sync and FreeSync, games feel buttery smooth. My console and PC both look their absolute best on this screen. It’s one of the rare TVs where you immediately notice the difference in responsiveness. Smart Features webOS is clean, fast, and easy to navigate. Apps load quickly, and the personalized home screen is a nice touch. The AI features aren’t just marketing — the TV does a great job optimizing picture and sound on the fly. Sound For built-in speakers, the audio is surprisingly spacious. The AI Sound Pro creates a wider, more immersive soundstage than I expected, and Dolby Atmos support is a plus. That said, if you’re building a true home theater, pairing it with a good soundbar or surround system will push it to another level. Design & Build The TV is incredibly thin and looks premium on the wall. The stand works fine, but because of the size, I’d recommend wall-mounting if you can — it really completes the high-end look. Minor Drawbacks Not many. It isn’t the brightest TV on the market, so rooms with tons of direct sunlight may wash it out a bit. The Magic Remote’s pointer function takes some getting used to (you’ll either love it or hate it). And if you rely on DTS audio, just know it's not supported on this model. Final Verdict The LG C5 77" OLED is a fantastic TV that delivers incredible picture quality, outstanding gaming performance, and a refined smart TV experience. Just wanted to drop a warning for anyone mounting this themselves: check your stud distance! I have 20-inch spacing and the default setup didn't work; it maxes out at 16-inch width. Had to pause the install to get a mount that actually spanned the gap. Great TV, just plan ahead for the install.

The design is sleek and modern, and despite being a 77-inch screen, it looks amazingly thin on the wall. The a9 AI Processor really does a great job upscaling older content, and webOS is fast, intuitive, and easy to navigate. Even the sound is better than I expected for built-in speakers, though I paired it with a soundbar for the full experience. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are precisely two complaints that I can give my LG 77 C5 OLED television. The first is that is that it's too thin. I feel that the fragility of the thin design is not worth the future hassle if I ever need to move it from its current location. However, that is not a problem whatsoever with how the television functions and it functions extremely well. I have been using an LG 65 B8 OLED for six years and felt it was time to step up and really give my home theater a true theater feel, with the larger screen. So far, the new television easily matches the excellent picture quality of that B8, which was a calibrated display, without needing professional calibration. I'm sure professional calibration would make the C5 look even better, but the built in Filmmaker Mode made it very easy to slip into use without hours of fine tuning. The first films I watched on it looked fantastic and I only needed to mess with a couple of settings to capture that look. I can't tell you how the speakers in this television sound. I don't use my television's speakers, as I have a dedicated sound system. I did have to figure out ARC for the first time in order to get the most out of this new television's features with my gaming setup and I appreciate how well it works with passthrough. I assume the speakers may be another downside to anyone expecting an all-in-one package, but televisions as a whole have not had excellent speakers built-in for years, so that isn't a knock against this television, but does go back to the way televisions keep getting thinner. The second complaint that I have is of the new magic remote. I understand minimizing many of the functions, but the lack of a mute button or a play and pause button for people using the built-in media apps is disappointing. I am the type of person who prefers having dedicated buttons for my functions rather than going through menus. It's not a major deal, but using my previous remote was less responsive than the new one, so I'll stick with the new one. As a whole, this television is everything i expected and more and I would fully recommend it.

I had an old LG and it has been improved in a sound quality as well. The colors are fine details, and really bright and vibrant images. Overall as a family we really liked the features.
