In all honesty we haven't been able to watch this TV much since it is going into a room under construction. But when we did turn it on, we loved the picture. The reason we bought this particular OLED TV was because there was a 20% off special for one day so we took advantage of that. We also need to purchase another TV, if we receive the same deal we would buy another LG.

The remote is genuinely terrible. It constantly activates a very ugly and cumbersome pointer. I thought upon setting up the TV that I could easily go into settings and disable it, but no, I discover that it is a permanent built in feature that cannot be disabled. I do further research and find that this has been a problem for years, with people begging for another option and LG ignoring them. For a premium OLED TV, that is honestly unacceptable, the TV should be easy to use out of the box and not feel like it is actively fighting against you as you try to navigate content and settings. It may be a solvable issue using third party hardware, but due to the fact that the TV is very annoying and difficult to use without additional purchases and doesn’t give a tiny toggle in the settings to disable “magic pointer” forever (while loading up the TV with bloat and software that the user will never want to use, such as an AI chatbot), I am not able to give this TV higher than one star. Hopefully, if enough people speak out, LG will listen and the TV will be usable out of the box.

It took a while to get used to the remote control, but once I did, it was a breeze. I though the 77" inch TV was perfect for our family room, which was fairly large and so this TV was a well-needed upgrade. The sound quality was fine, but I had our family room wired with speakers, so connecting it to an external amplifier was a breeze - otherwise, I would have used an LG soundbar as well.

Colors are very bright and pop out. Watching 4K movies on this screen feels like I am in a cinema. Best TV I ever bought. Highly recommend!

Display is amazing even in our bright living room. It infact exceeded my expectations. We already have a C4 65’ tv that we bought 5 years ago which has become a part of our family and this just another terrific addition to our new home high roof living room wall. The LG C5 83-inch is a 4K UHD TV, so resolution is , with full support for 4K streaming, 4K Blu‑ray, and 4K gaming. Sound in this TV is impressive than the older version. Looking forward to the Christmas break to enjoy the Christmas movies on this. 😀 Overall we are super happy with the purchase and we got it for a great price for this thanks giving too.

The picture quality is absolutely breathtaking — deep, inky blacks, vibrant yet natural colors, and incredible contrast that makes every movie and sports game pop off the screen. Even in a bright room, the OLED panel handles glare surprisingly well. The new Alpha 11 AI processor does an amazing job optimizing content automatically — from 4K Blu-rays to streaming shows, everything looks crisp and lifelike. Motion is buttery smooth, and the 120Hz refresh rate combined with LG’s Game Optimizer makes this a dream for gaming. The input lag is nearly nonexistent, and HDMI 2.1 support on all ports is a huge plus for next-gen consoles. The webOS interface is fast and intuitive, and pairing it with the Magic Remote feels natural — voice commands work great too. The built-in speakers are surprisingly full, but pairing it with a Dolby Atmos soundbar takes it to a whole new level. At 83 inches, the size is immersive without overwhelming the room. Movies feel like a theater experience, and sports are just on another level — it’s like being on the field.
