Immediately upon receiving and setting up my 77” C5, I started playing 4k HDR content and was blown away. I’m coming from a 2016 model from a competitor, and it was a high-end model at the time, and the difference in quality is staggering. I’m very very happy with my purchase, and I can’t wait to get back to my movies!

Can't comment on sound, use a soundbar. Slim and light. Remote works well and pairs with our Echo TV cube seemlessly. Great deal for black friday.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blacks on this LG 77" C5 OLED are so deep that the picture has incredible contrast and makes everything look richer and more realistic. HDR is fantastic...bright highlights really pop without overwhelming the rest of the image, and scenes like a torch being carried on a dark night look almost lifelike, with the flame glowing against truly inky darkness. The brightness is perfect for my room and the 77" size is big, immersive, cinematic, and I’m absolutely loving this TV.

The picture quality is just super clean and natural, with deep blacks and realistic colors without oversaturation. Out of the box it already looked good, and after a bit of tweaking it’s become amazing for everything — movies, shows, sports, all of it just looks perfect and the size makes it feel pretty cinematic at home. For gaming, though, it really shines. Input lag feels very low, and once Game Mode is on, everything just responds instantly on PS5/PC. 4K at high refresh rates, VRR, and those HDMI 2.1 ports make it easy to plug in multiple devices and not think about it again. HDR games look great too — bright highlights, detailed dark areas, and no weird smearing or ghosting in fast scenes. If you’re into gaming and also want something that’s just solid for everyday watching, this has been a amazing upgrade.

The only problem that I ran into was that the Alexa voice command does not work as it should be. Still working on this problem

The picture quality for C5 completely stunning and all additional features including faster processor, better sound definitely make it worth the upgrade and quite affordable as prices started to go down. We could not be happier. Highly recommend this TV.

This one kept catching my eye every time I walked past it—it just looked better than the rest. I finally decided to take it home, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! Upgrading from a 10-year-old 1080p 75" TV to this 77" OLED was the best decision I’ve made for home entertainment. The picture quality is stunning—deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible clarity. Gaming on my Xbox Series X feels like a whole new experience; I’m noticing details I never saw before. Watching Dolby Vision content on Disney+ is equally impressive. Everything looks cinematic and immersive. If you’re on the fence, this TV is absolutely worth it!

Of course, this is when watching the appropriate media. (I was watching an UHD disk of a movie). Out of the box, menu was really cluttered with apps I didn't need (not subscribed to most) and unwanted ads. I deleted the unused apps to de-clutter. Remote is nice with a point-at-screen-and-click feature. However, the precision of the pointing is a tad off. You get used to it. My package came with an LG soundbar which worked with the LG TV remote, which is a huge plus and allows me to put away the soundbar's remote. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase

The improvement is clear, the display is brighter, colors pop more vividly, and overall clarity feels more refined. The SC9S soundbar that came with it genuinely enhances the experience; the soundstage is rich, dialogue is crisp, and bass feels punchy without being overbearing. Gaming also looks incredible, smooth motion, vibrant HDR, and near-zero input lag make it an absolute pleasure for next-gen consoles. Overall, it’s a strong and worthwhile upgrade, stunning visuals, excellent sound integration, and outstanding performance for movies and gaming, with just a few small areas where LG could refine the user experience.

The C5 intelligently recognizes whether you're watching a show in Dolby Vision or tuning into a sporting event, automatically adjusting the display settings for optimal viewing. It also features LG Gallery mode, so when the TV is off, it displays artwork, making it look like a framed picture.
