The perfect blacks create an incredible sense of depth—dark scenes look truly cinematic, with no blooming or washed-out shadows. Pair that with LG’s vibrant color reproduction and razor-sharp 4K clarity, and you get a picture that feels almost lifelike. As a gamer, the high refresh rate is a huge highlight. Motion is ultra-smooth, even in fast-paced action scenes or competitive games, and the inclusion of NVIDIA G-Sync makes a massive difference. There’s virtually no screen tearing, input lag is minimal, and the responsiveness is fantastic. Whether I'm playing visually rich single-player titles or fast shooters, the experience feels buttery and immersive. One thing I didn’t expect was how well this OLED performs in bright rooms. Traditionally, OLEDs have struggled with glare, but the C5 handles it impressively well. Even with the curtains open and sunlight pouring in, the screen stays bright, clear, and highly visible. Reflections are minimal, and HDR content still shines. It’s a great all-around viewing experience whether it’s daytime TV, sports, or evening movie nights. The design is sleek and premium, the interface is fast, and the TV’s overall performance feels top-tier. LG has clearly refined its OLED technology, and the C5 benefits from all of it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG makes the screens for several vendors and they really have a terrific process and as a legacy branded industrial engineering firm, they build systems that both perform and dazzle. This 77 has it all. The image quality is fabulous, crisp and there remotes are responsive. We replaced the 65" B processor with the 77 C processor and it is a nice step up, but the B still commands watching sports or movies, the 65 is in the smaller den. I watch the usual through ROKU boxes, subscribe to YOUtubeTV and the major premium channels and have great image quality but not as good as BlueRay DVD but i only have 1 DVD because I gave them away for convenience...99% of what I watch is streamed and this gives you great image quality and sound, too...i have yet to want to bring my Paradigm system with the big Yamaha amplifier up to connect it to this 77 because it is good enough....and for concerts we wear the headsets through the ROKU or the LG blue tooth....great combo, I have grown to rely on LG.

Dolby Vision content looks especially impressive. Shows like Stranger Things look incredible, with dark scenes retaining detail while highlights really pop. I already own a 77-inch LG OLED C3, so this comparison comes from real-world use. Even though the size difference between 77 inches and 83 inches doesn’t seem large on paper, it is very noticeable in practice. Installed in a dedicated media room, the 83-inch screen feels significantly more immersive and delivers a true home-theater experience. Another pleasant surprise is the sound quality. For a TV, it’s much better than expected—clear dialogue, decent bass, and a fuller soundstage compared to most flat-panel TVs. It’s good enough that you don’t immediately feel the need for a soundbar. The new webOS UI feels smooth, modern, and responsive. Navigation is intuitive, apps load quickly, and the overall experience feels polished. Overall, the LG OLED C5 is an excellent upgrade, especially if you’re coming from a 77-inch OLED. Exceptional picture quality, surprisingly strong built-in audio, and a refined user experience make it a fantastic choice for a media room.

After doing some research, I settled on a 77" C5 for the best picture quality for gaming and movies. Really happy with my purchase and I will continue to be an LG customer for years to come!

TV come onetime and installed as planned. the only down side I could say is the reflection is larger than I expected. and the coating is helping, but still if we want to compare with the other type of matte screen, its still reflective. but if watching in basement or at night, no issue at all.

The improvement is clear, the display is brighter, colors pop more vividly, and overall clarity feels more refined. The SC9S soundbar that came with it genuinely enhances the experience; the soundstage is rich, dialogue is crisp, and bass feels punchy without being overbearing. Gaming also looks incredible, smooth motion, vibrant HDR, and near-zero input lag make it an absolute pleasure for next-gen consoles. This is my first OLED tv and I am surprised by how bright it gets since it's not an led. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because the operating system is a little clunky. Overall Im happy with my purchase and would recommend.
