If your room is very bright, or you already have a recent high-end OLED, you might want to evaluate whether the incremental upgrade is worth it—but for most users, this model hits a very good sweet spot.

I just can’t get over how crisp and beautiful the picture is under any type of lighting. I also have to say the OS upgrade is huge!! The menus are more user friendly and everything including downloads move at light speed. I cannot bribe the tv I just got at this price. But once it is turned on the picture is unbelievable - crisp, bright with vivid colors that makes watching anything a joy; sporting events feel like you are there. I finally decided to upgrade to the 77" C5 after seeing all the positive reviews—and I was stunned the moment I turned it on. The picture quality is just on another level: the blacks are inky, colors are rich without looking cartoonish, and the extra brightness really makes HDR movies and shows pop. The larger 77" size is incredibly immersive, especially for movies and sports, but it still feels sharp and detailed, not stretched. Motion handling is smooth, which has been great for both fast-paced action and gaming. The smart TV interface is snappy and easy to use, apps load quickly, and all the usual streaming services run flawlessly. Gaming on this thing is a dream—low input lag, great response, and everything just looks so clean and vibrant. Overall, I already loved my C1, but the C5 feels like a true step up in every way. The picture quality is absolutely gorgeous — deep, perfect blacks, vibrant colors, and excellent contrast. Movies look cinematic, sports are smooth, and even older content benefits from the AI upscaling. This screen size in OLED really transforms the room into a home theater. Picture Quality The OLED evo panel is phenomenal. Dark scenes have incredible detail thanks to the perfect black levels, and bright highlights really pop. Dolby Vision content looks especially impressive. Even in a moderately bright room, the TV holds up well. Gaming Performance If you’re a gamer, this TV is a dream. With 120Hz (and support for higher VRR rates), super low input lag, and compatibility with G-Sync and FreeSync, games feel buttery smooth. My console and PC both look their absolute best on this screen. It’s one of the rare TVs where you immediately notice the difference in responsiveness. Smart Features webOS is clean, fast, and easy to navigate. Apps load quickly, and the personalized home screen is a nice touch. The AI features aren’t just marketing — the TV does a great job optimizing picture and sound on the fly. Sound For built-in speakers, the audio is surprisingly spacious. The AI Sound Pro creates a wider, more immersive soundstage than I expected, and Dolby Atmos support is a plus. That said, if you’re building a true home theater, pairing it with a good soundbar or surround system will push it to another level. Design & Build The TV is incredibly thin and looks premium on the wall. The stand works fine, but because of the size, I’d recommend wall-mounting if you can — it really completes the high-end look. Minor Drawbacks Not many. It isn’t the brightest TV on the market, so rooms with tons of direct sunlight may wash it out a bit. The Magic Remote’s pointer function takes some getting used to (you’ll either love it or hate it). And if you rely on DTS audio, just know it's not supported on this model. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to upgrade my 10-year-old TV setup to catch up on 4K and get more size. My room dimensions are 14x22ft and we sit about 10 feet from the TV. The 77-inch size is perfect for that configuration. Setup was easy. The Ethernet port was nice for hooking the TV directly into the network, although wifi would have also been fine. The smart apps and home setup work well and the processor seems sufficiently quick that app launches and updates are smooth and don't feel underpowered in any way. Depending on your firewall you may need to allow access to some sites to get app and firmware updates to work, otherwise you will run into -102 (connectivity) and -202 (certificate) errors. The default settings had the classic soap opera effect which I was quick to update. Once that was resolved the TV was exceptional. We don't deal with a lot of glare in our room setup so I can't comment on that, but the picture was fantastic for our purposes. ARC setup worked well to drive audio back into our receiver. TV sound quality seemed fine, although I think for a TV like this you will get the most out of it with a receiver+speaker setup. I saw some concerns about the remote but honestly it worked very well for us. I will be ditching our universal remote and Roku as the TV covers both well. I do wish the buttons were backlit. That feels like a miss for a TV at this price point. All in all I was very happy with the TV. Unboxing through setup were smooth and movies shine on this display. Highly Recommended.

For years our media room seemed as if the TV just wasn't the right size. We had a 65 inch in the room but it just didn't have the picture quality or the right size for that room. The LG OLED 77 inch filled the room perfectly not just the size but the picture quality is unbelievable. What do I love about the LG OLED AI C5... Great picture quality! The black levels are incredible it gives perfect contrast that makes dark scenes pop. Colors are accurate and look great. It has a wide range of colors. We looked at allot of TVS but none came close to the LG OLED 77 inch C5. HDR performance is amazing and so is the AI . The other reason we went with the LG OLED was for the gaming aspect. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports, supports 4k gaming and has a 144hz refresh rate. The webOS has a great feel to it. We like how the remote is like using a mouse on screen and best of all it's user friendly. If your looking for a great OLED TV, look no further this is the one to get.... you'll be glad you did!! Regular content looks extremely clean, and HDR and Dolby Vision just pop off the screen. Nothing beats OLED and the C5 delivers on all marks in the price bracket. There is nothing better out there for the money. The new remove is also an improvement for me, as the older LG remotes featured piano black plastics that scratch easy and feel slick in the hand. The new remote is matte in finish and easy to navigate with. The latest updates with WebOS 25 have also made it easier to navigate around the interface. Which absolutely purchase again.
