The television has a great picture. It is bright, with vibrant colors, and the contrast is superior. I wasn't, however, able to use it for the first month, as I had a defective remote, and LG took its sweet time replacing it for me. I was NOT impressed by their "customer care." LG televisions are terribly overpriced. I needed a light and thin television for my mounting situation, and this one fit the bill. I wish these were reasonably priced, as they make a great television.

I absolutely love this TV. The picture is beautiful - the color is true, the brightness is perfect (even in my very bright room during the day), and you can see the picture from any angle. The sound is great as well. We will probably invest in a system at some point, but for now, the sound is perfect (and I like that I can adjust it for the application I am using, eg, when I want to listen to Spotify).

Not paying full retail can soften expectations a little, but I'm fussy about picture quality. And this TV delivers near perfect picture, and with a lot of settings to tweak you can push it to your sensitivies more and more in the early weeks of ownership. The real catch-22 is that the TV shows up the shortcuts taken in compression. You can see the lack of 'bit depth' in streaming (4k hdr) vs professionally authored compression from even DVDs. So to get perfect picture quality you need a very good source. But for new UK shows, I'm still enjoying Freeview HD content (1080p), but if iPlayer has a UHD option that's the go to now. Lastly, get a real 5.1 (or better) setup, one centre speaker, and separate L+R and rears that you can spread out for a broad soundstage. A soundbar is if you have chewy pets only. Do I want the G5? Actually, I watch in the evenings in low light, and at 100% pixel brightness it's eye scorching, so I run it lower and have no need for any more brightness than the C5 can offer. Moving from a 55", I had a shock feeling of 'this is too big' for about 2 hours. That went away and is funny to think about now.

Can't fault the picture. Sound volume unreliable and is fine one second and almost silent when adverts come on. Hopefully a firmware update will address but I'm looking at third party remotes.

5 stars for screen performance. 4 stars for software and interface. Screen is fantastic especially the contrast and virtually perfect blacks. Software and interface are a little clunky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the LG C5 OLED for a bit now, and honestly it's just a really good TV. It pretty much delivers what you'd expect from an LG OLED. Picture quality: The picture is the main reason to buy it. Blacks are actually black, contrast looks great, and colors pop without looking fake. HDR content looks especially nice, and even really dark scenes still have good detail instead of turning into a gray blur. Gaming: For gaming, it's been excellent. HDMI 2.1, low input lag, VRR — all the important stuff is here. On Xbox, everything feels smooth and responsive, and fast games don't get blurry. Design: The TV itself looks clean and modern with super thin bezels. It looks high-end. It's also super thin and I guess I need to be careful to not break it accidentally. Sound: Could be better, but I have a sound bar so it doesn't really matter to me. Others: The AI voice sounds robotic.

The 77” C5 has the right combo of picture quality, price, and features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blacks on this LG 77" C5 OLED are so deep that the picture has incredible contrast and makes everything look richer and more realistic. HDR is fantastic...bright highlights really pop without overwhelming the rest of the image, and scenes like a torch being carried on a dark night look almost lifelike, with the flame glowing against truly inky darkness. The brightness is perfect for my room and the 77" size is big, immersive, cinematic, and I'm absolutely loving this TV.

After extensive research, I had heard LG makes the best OLEDs on the market. I just received my 83" C5 and am blown away at the quality. It is perfect in my media room and I am beyond happy with my purchase. The colors are very vibrant but more importantly the blacks are deep and provide contract you don't get with QLED or LED.
