[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought the 77" LG c5 and am extremely happy. I have previously owned various sizes of the c7, c8, c9, cx, c2, and c4 and the jump up this year is big. It gets noticeably brighter than the previous generations and the upgraded processor is also faster. The picture is much brighter so that I can have my lights on or my windows open with much less issue. I hooked up my gaming laptop to the tv and can confirm that it can handle gsync/144hz/HDR pass through/etc. I prefer the new menu system vs. the previous gens but they have moved quite a bit of options around and the application of the tech is different. Previously, it was recommended to turn off a lot of the picture enhancements because it did weird motion stuff with the pictures but with the new cinematic modes and picture settings, the enhancements are nice to have on without it messing up the picture. One really nice thing about the new tv is that the vesa mount is now higher on the TV. If you have previous lg oleds, the vesa mounting was always really low on the tv and it made it awkward to wall mount because it needed to sit much lower to line up. I also like the updated magic remote and that it can control all my devices much better than before vs just relying on CEC. My only qualm with the TV is the audio pass through. I have a very high end sound system and I cannot pass through truehd/master audio correctly. It's always an issue with every tv/brand, surprisingly, my old c9 was the only tv that passed audio through correctly. I did briefly use the TV speakers and there is a setting to improve the audio with it wall mounted or if it's on a stand. I hardly ever use my TV speakers since I have it hooked up to a full sound system but I do sometimes use it when I'm making changes. The TV speakers are decent if you're in a pinch but I would recommend still getting something to improve the audio. I'm very happy and recommend this product strongly.

I just can’t get over how crisp and beautiful the picture is under any type of lighting. I also have to say the OS upgrade is huge!! The menus are more user friendly and everything including downloads move at light speed. I cannot bribe the tv I just got at this price. My OLED panel gives you deep blacks, clear highlights, and rich colors that stay consistent no matter what you watch. I handle fast action well, so sports and gaming look clean and fluid. My interface is webOS, and I try to keep things quick for you. Apps load fast, and the Magic Remote makes it easy to jump around without feeling lost in menus. Gamers usually like me because I support 4K at 120 Hz, have very low input lag, and work smoothly with the latest consoles. My speakers do the job for regular TV, though I admit I sound better paired with a good soundbar. I am thin, light, and look sharp on the wall or a stand. Overall, I take pride in delivering strong performance, simple usability, and a large cinematic screen that feels good for movies, shows, and games. If you want a TV that is reliable and easy to live with, I do my part well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are precisely two complaints that I can give my LG 77 C5 OLED television. The first is that is that it's too thin. I feel that the fragility of the thin design is not worth the future hassle if I ever need to move it from its current location. However, that is not a problem whatsoever with how the television functions and it functions extremely well. I have been using an LG 65 B8 OLED for six years and felt it was time to step up and really give my home theater a true theater feel, with the larger screen. So far, the new television easily matches the excellent picture quality of that B8, which was a calibrated display, without needing professional calibration. I'm sure professional calibration would make the C5 look even better, but the built in Filmmaker Mode made it very easy to slip into use without hours of fine tuning. The first films I watched on it looked fantastic and I only needed to mess with a couple of settings to capture that look. I can't tell you how the speakers in this television sound. I don't use my television's speakers, as I have a dedicated sound system. I did have to figure out ARC for the first time in order to get the most out of this new television's features with my gaming setup and I appreciate how well it works with passthrough. I assume the speakers may be another downside to anyone expecting an all-in-one package, but televisions as a whole have not had excellent speakers built-in for years, so that isn't a knock against this television, but does go back to the way televisions keep getting thinner. The second complaint that I have is of the new magic remote. I understand minimizing many of the functions, but the lack of a mute button or a play and pause button for people using the built-in media apps is disappointing. I am the type of person who prefers having dedicated buttons for my functions rather than going through menus. It's not a major deal, but using my previous remote was less responsive than the new one, so I'll stick with the new one. As a whole, this television is everything i expected and more and I would fully recommend it.

Overall, it’s an excellent TV with premium visuals — just best suited for controlled-lighting setups rather than very bright rooms.
