So, I am a 23 y/o guy who probably has not played with LEGO in about 10 year. My whole interpretation of LEGO from memory was sets designed around children's games, movies, and pop culture. I had zero idea that the LEGO Botanicals and LEGO Art series existed. I saw this bonsai set and bought it without hesitation, though being out of the LEGO game for some time. I cannot believe how much fun this set was. It was so cleverly designed and came together beautifully in the end. I love the botanical series as well as the art series (I also just purchased the World Map set). I am officially hooked on legos again and cannot wait to see what genius comes out of their botanical/art departments next! Very well done!

So I’ve been into Lego for a while now since my first set in 1994 which was one of the pirate ships and I was instantly hooked. I love plants so naturally this was a great fit. My wife surprised me with this for my birthday and I had such a great time building it and making it my own which I think is the best feature of this set. It allows some freedom with the small decorative pieces on the branches and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the tree come together. Not an overly difficult build, took around 2 hours, but was so worth it. I put on some Japanese garden music and just had a relaxing and enjoyable build. Way to go Lego. Please keep making these plant themed sets. Maybe a small botanical garden or miniature central park set would be great. Anyway, if you love Lego and plants get this set. It has made me quite happy and displays very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this Lego set! My eldest loved it as well. It is definitely unique from what we usually get, but it was amazing. It looks so beautiful sitting anywhere, a plant you can’t hurt! The details are actually incredible though. It has little “rocks” in the plant stand. So cute. Awesome packaging. We definitely want to find more of these plant Lego sets! Not hard to put together; and it’s one that everybody will enjoy. Highly recommend for anyone that enjoys puzzles or Legos!

This is an attractive item, and I don't mind the frogs (though I did just order a bunch more of the little pink flowers to switch some out). My only issue was the instructions. It's really hard to see brown bricks on brown bricks and took way too much effort to figure it out.

I have to confess that I don't have a green thumb so I had no luck with keeping plants alive, however, Lego solved my problem with this beautiful Bonsai Tree and flower collection (Flower Bouquet 10280, Roses 40460, and Tulips 40461). What an amazing surprise for 2021!!! Straight forward build and super cute display. I love how Lego included the option to switch between the green leaves and pink flower (frog). I wish they also included some orange leaves like the ones from the Tree House 21318 set. Overall a great set and please make more Lego sets like this :)

This LEGO Bonsai Tree was such a joy to build! I absolutely loved every step of the process. It was entertaining, relaxing, and the final result is seriously stunning. The details are so creative—especially the pink cherry blossoms made out of tiny LEGO frogs and flowers. It’s such a clever and artistic touch! The build was easy to follow but engaging, and the finished piece looks amazing on display. It adds a peaceful and elegant vibe to my shelf, and everyone who sees it is impressed that it’s made from LEGO. If you're looking for a calming, beautiful project that's fun to put together and looks great in any room, I highly recommend this set. Definitely one of my favorites!

I received this set as a gift, my first Lego build in at least a decade. It's a stunning piece and the interchangeable foliage is a brilliant tough. My only complaint is that some of the darker bricks were difficult to see clearly in the instructions. I could have very easily put at least two pieces in the incorrect orientation. But overall, the experience and result are fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Legos bonsai tree set is pretty amazing . My eleven-year-old had to have help from us to get it finished but, boy is it beautiful. He has it sitting in his room on a table. He doesn't want to take it apart and redo it because he loves it so much. It is different and unusual from the normal Legos he has put together so this one was a challenge for him. He really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this Lego set to everyone.

This Lego was deceptively easy and quick to build. With the visual activity in the finished product I assumed it would be more involved, but the assembly patterns were easy to pick up and turn into a meditative process. Only problem I had is the print instructions were nearly impossible to read, just could not see any details for the dark brown pieces in the book without a spotlight.

I have completed many sets and this set, BY FAR, has the worst set of instructions! Brown on brown pieces, green on green pieces with NO outlines to help you discern placement. I took the instructions to get sunlight and even used the flashlight on my phone. Neither helped very much. If you try this, look at the instructions for the pink foliage first if you decide on going with the green. There are absolutely NO instructions on placing the green foliage. I had to look at the pink ones to get a "hint". POOR POOR instructions. This set is touted to be peaceful and relaxing. The instructions did NOT prove to be either. The only saving grace is that the completed set looks great.
