If they hadn’t included the cherry blossom Version, this would have been rated 5 stars. It’s a fun, easy build and the bonsai tree is beautiful (with the green leaves). Otherwise, rather disappointed with the look of the cherry blossom version. I’m a huge fan of NPU, but those frogs are vibe killers.

Just Stunning a Master Piece..!!! Brilliantly designed it (!!!!!) Worthy the wait for re stocking! I bought in store by shocking surprised it! It was second re stocking since launching it in this Lego store? The nice register lady said only one left, the box had small damaged it! I said I careless give it to me! Can I buy it..!!! I bought this set for the TREE to upgrade the *pitiful tree on top the new Shire hillside. *should NOT have had to, BTW. This set was on sale at a box store, improving the value I'll admit. BUT LOOK AT ALL THE EXTRA PARTS ♥ Brown! 200 1x1 tiles - not getting dumped like dirt but carefully placed in the future I'm sure :) AND I ♥ frogs - offsetting a 1 star review I hope :)-

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Lego Bonsai Tree with my thirteen year old son and we throughly enjoyed this piece! First, I love the unique design of the Botanical Series. The Bonsai Tree is absolutely beautiful when put together and looks great within my sons room. He loves it being able to say he put it together. I also love the ease of assembly. Lego makes it really easy with their instructions to put their products together. I like that it is still challenging for my son but not in a way that makes him not want to attempt it. I would highly recommend this piece!

I’m a bonsai admirer. I bought this set because I live in an area with a lot of Cherry Blossom trees and wanted to simulate that inside. This piece is very delicate, and, like other plants doesn’t like to be moved a lot. I have purchased another set for a friend.

I have completed many sets and this set, BY FAR, has the worst set of instructions! Brown on brown pieces, green on green pieces with NO outlines to help you discern placement. I took the instructions to get sunlight and even used the flashlight on my phone. Neither helped very much. If you try this, look at the instructions for the pink foliage first if you decide on going with the green. There are absolutely NO instructions on placing the green foliage. I had to look at the pink ones to get a "hint". POOR POOR instructions. This set is touted to be peaceful and relaxing. The instructions did NOT prove to be either. The only saving grace is that the completed set looks great.

This build was an amazing experience. With each step, I saw the tree taking shape. All the little details added to the fluidity and balance for the model. I donnot mind the use of the pink frogs. After a time, you donnot really notice them individually. The whole look is amazing.

I try not to buy too many LEGO sets because I don’t have the room to display them. Often I will keep a build together for a week, admiring my great work, and then carefully pack it away for building again in the future. This one, however, is a special piece. I have always wanted a bonsai but never purchased one for fear of losing it(I have a brown thumb). I also had just come back from a once in a lifetime trip to Japan in March, where the Sakura were in peak bloom. With that in mind and a 10% discount in hand, I snatched this set right up. I found the build to be quite relaxing and easy. It took about an hour and the direction book was very clear. I love that the set includes the pink cherry blossom boughs as well as the leafy green ones. That way I can change them out to suit my mood or the season. The display stand is also pretty and makes it more of a showpiece. While it did seem a little pricey at first glance, it really turned out to be a great value for a LEGO set that anyone would be happy to display all year. The only caveat would be that you would need to keep this out of reach from pets and small children suitor loose tiny pieces that make up the “substrate” in the dish.

This was a gift for my wife for Mother's Day from the kids and me. My wife is a florist, so she is sick of flowers by the time it's her turn to receive gifts on Valentine's, Mother's Day, etc. She added these Lego sets to her wish list and they've been a big hit with her and our kids. This is her third set from this series of Legos and she loves them. They are really creative and well designed, fun to put together, and look great displayed. We also got her the LED light set so she can add effects to the tree. One word of advice... if you are thinking about buying one of these sets, don't procrastinate. They are in high demand around holidays and the secondary market for them is ridiculous. If you can get them at regular price, do it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Legos bonsai tree set is pretty amazing . My eleven-year-old had to have help from us to get it finished but, boy is it beautiful. He has it sitting in his room on a table. He doesn't want to take it apart and redo it because he loves it so much. It is different and unusual from the normal Legos he has put together so this one was a challenge for him. He really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this Lego set to everyone.
