The set is absolutely worth every cent. I bought it solely for the pink frog pieces and I was not disappointed. It’s the perfect size to sit on a desk or shelf, and the interchangeable leaf colours are a great touch and very easy to switch out. Highly recommend for fans of ‘adult legos’, frogs, or houseplants that can’t die.

I definitely enjoyed building this bonsai tree. I didn't like either of the two variants included with the set because I wanted to be able to showcase both the green leaves and the cherry blossoms. I spent awhile with this build because I love to challenge myself and line up all the pieces with the word Lego facing in the same direction. And I spent time designing a build that included both green leaves and cherry blossoms. I've attached pictures for anyone interested in my build. I'm totally in love with my bonsai tree and I plan on buying more sets to give as gifts to friends.

This is one of those gateway sets that will make people stop and go "wait, that's LEGO?!" It's a truly lovely little display set that still manages to pack in some clever, interesting, and engaging build techniques. I can't say it was my favorite build - I have never been, and will never be, a huge fan of the repetitive nature of Lego foliage - but using so many little frogs was amusing if nothing else.

Why Tree of Life I call it? Well, it will never die, it's made of Legos ha. It's a great display and decoration. The only small annoyance is that some of the dark brown pieces are hard to see on the instructions. The other issue was the green leaves. It's so green at the top that you have to look carefully at the book if you want to put them on the right spot, even then, it's hard. I did as much as I could and eventually just balanced it out evenly, made it look reasonable and good. It's a great set and it's unique in a way where you don't see sets like these made often, I hope it's the start of something new.

The whole thing took about 1.5hrs to build and is a really nice tree. The only thing that I would say was absolutely terrible for feedback, is the tree base. Not the "wood" it sits on, but the base with the feet. Normally LEGO does a really good job making sure the areas that take pressure, can take it. Not this thing. I had to get extra legos and secure it. NOW it is rock solid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was very fun to put together this set. At the beginning I thought it would be more difficult as it is 18 plus but my 6 year old son helped me. It took me about 2 days to fold. Putting it together is very good for stress relief. The tree has 2 options to choose from green or light. I chose the brighter options because I liked the flowers and the toys on the tree. I highly recommend. Now the folded one stands on my shelf so that everyone can admire it.

This did not take too much time to build, as it is not as large as some other sets, but it is so beautiful to display anywhere in the house. The bonsai tree was such a great idea! I am loving all of the new botanical collection and I think that I will be adding more of them to my collection!

A very fun build that took just around 4 casual hours. Beautifully designed and it looks fantastic on my mantle between my collection of sake bottles. The leaves are, by far, the most time consuming part and a little bit tedious, but the end result is well worth it.

I am a 43 year old grandmother and thought this was the coolest lego set considering I loved playing with legos as a kid and LOVE bonsai trees. Hours of fun and a great conversation piece when everyone finds out it is legos!

I like the idea and the execution of this set. The pink frogs were a pleasant surprise when I opened the package. It was definitely a little bit scary to build this with all the tiny and free parts (the "soil" and frogs/flowers) when two cats are watching. The only complaint I have is the repetitiveness of the leaves/flowers but it is expected.
