The instructions are hard to follow, some pieces are just a brown blob that are supposed to be attached to another brown blob. I sort of figured it out building only in sunlight with the help of a magnifying glass. When I tried to move it it all fell apart. I have built 9 other adult Lego sets and had fun, this one was pure frustration.

It is so advanced for a “toy” and really brings building and creating to a new level... not to mention the end result is gonna be gorgeous. I have to confess that I don't have a green thumb so I had no luck with keeping plants alive, however, Lego solved my problem with this beautiful Bonsai Tree and flower collection (Flower Bouquet 10280, Roses 40460, and Tulips 40461). What an amazing surprise for 2021!!! Straight forward build and super cute display. I love how Lego included the option to switch between the green leaves and pink flower (frog). I wish they also included some orange leaves like the ones from the Tree House 21318 set. Overall a great set and please make more Lego sets like this :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My design throughout the main house is trees and plants, I am always looking for something to add to the rooms. I saw this and I knew I had to have it. It took my 11 year old and myself about a week to fully get together how we exactly wanted it but that was not straight time by no means. We really took our time and enjoyed bonding over this. We put the pink flowers on ours and absolutely love the look and feel of it, you'd almost not know what you were looking at. The instructions were pretty simple and easy to understand. It does have lots of pieces that look the same so I believe patience is key to building it.

The set was absolutely wonderful, and while the instructions presented a slight challenge, they could benefit from being a bit clearer with better visuals for easier identification of the pieces and assembly steps. I had to rely on the digital manual to enhance the colors and magnify the images, but it was still a delightful experience, albeit some difficulty in a few steps. Nevertheless, the end result was truly worth the effort, and I couldn't help but adore the final outcome.

I bought this set for the TREE to upgrade the *pitiful tree on top the new Shire hillside. *should NOT have had to, BTW. This set was on sale at a box store, improving the value I'll admit. BUT LOOK AT ALL THE EXTRA PARTS ♥ Brown! 200 1x1 tiles - not getting dumped like dirt but carefully placed in the future I'm sure :) AND I ♥ frogs - offsetting a 1 star review I hope :)-

Pros: building the black container and the wooden pedestal thing was cool; frogs are absolutely adorable (and one of the reasons why i purchased this set); green leaves and Sakura blossoms have their own attachments to the branch ends so you can swap out in a matter of seconds without having to take anything apart, a small detail which I found very useful and well done. Cons: biggest obstacle was the darkness of the drawings in the booklet--there were no white lines delineating outlines of bricks and I had to use intuition on some steps to figure out where x brick was supposed to go. I'm 34 and have decent eyesight; I can't imagine the struggle if I didn't. That was a poor design choice on LEGO's part. Advice, LEGO: if your step has dark bricks... make white outlines so we can actually understand the illustrations. Secondly, the Sakura blossom building was so tedious. NINETY frogs and THIRTY SIX flowers. Third, my apologies to the designer of the set but the trunk build was just so chock full of random pieces. It still came together at the end and had a good trunk shape, was just as functional as it was designed to be, I just... had a hard time interpreting the logic of the shapes. Overall, underwhelming for what it is, maybe because I'm used to more intricate sets, maybe because I'm 34 and not a kid, I dunno. I won't worry about returning it since it's already built, but it definitely won't be one of my favorites.

This was fun and relaxing to me at the same time. i love that you can choose different colors. It was challenging for though because i have long fingernails but at the same time it helped some. I really had fun I would ove to see more ideas like this. Cant wait!!!!

This was the very first Lego set that I have ever done. When I was a kid I played with Legos but never had an actual building set. I have also purchased TONS of Lego sets for my kids and they loved them. This set was very easy to assemble and the step by step guide was also a breeze to understand. I loved building this!

I really enjoyed the idea of this item. But the reality is the pink and white leaves are too too heavy. There is only one brick holding the connection in the bend of the tree and if you build the pink and white as shown in the instructions it’s weight topples the tree. The green is ok working out ok. It’s a shame because I prefer the pink.
