It works really great. I love that I don’t have to keep cleaning and refilling my dog’s water bowl now. However, the light that indicates the bowl needs to be refilled stopped working after a week and a half. I haven’t had time to troubleshoot.

This fountain worked well enough for 4 months, but when mine developed a problem with a leaking lid, the manufacturer told me they would not give me warranty support for it since I purchased it at Sam's, instead of buying it directly from them. The lack of warranty support should be made clear from the point of sale.

Defective unit

Initial setup was horrible. App kept saying the the fountain needed a firmware update, but as soon as it tried to do the update, it would complain that I needed to connect a device first. After an hour, I finally got the update to complete. It worked for a few days, but eventually it ran out of water and I didn't realize. The app never alerted. I refilled the water and the fountain stopped responding altogether. Now it won't connect to the app, won't charge, etc. the app says the battery is at 100%, but I can't turn it on. The app itself is junky too … poor English translations, ads for more Petkit products, and not very intuitive. Will be returning to Sam's Club.
