The bread lacked the distinctive sourdough flavor. It was a rather "tough" bread, being Artisan. It is hard to find good sourdough bread. It is good bread, just not good sourdough bread.

If you want to be spoiled for all other breads then buy this bread. It’s so so good. The slices are large so one piece will make a good size sandwich.

i purchase this particular bread 1-2 times per week. this latest loaf tasted 'off'. texture was different and taste was totally different. perhaps the recipe changed or there was an error at the origin bakery 😕

This bread is a true sourdough, not the country sourdough of the South. The delicious aroma even seeps through the bag to remind me that I haven't finished it. I'd been searching since I left California in 2010, but no more!

love the thickness and taste my favorite bread. alittle pricey and slices are large so they have a lot of carbs so you may only need 1 slice cut in half.

Makes wonderful and flavorful garlic bread/toast. Plus just by itself has a nice 'tang' and if you add butter its just great. We always have this on spaghetti night. I think its worth the coins. I try to buy a loaf each week!

I'm crazy for this bread! I just had a big slice of it toasted with butter,my new nightly ritual. I need to just have it for a turkey sandwich,as the butter is not good for my high cholesterol.Absolutely love this bread,it's best warmed or toasted.

This sourdough bread was hard and dry. It doesn't have a very good flavor. I thought for the price it was going to be more like San Francisco sourdough.

There were only five slices of bread and one heel. Very small looking see picture. I have bought this a couple of times before, and seems like it was smaller this time. That is $.75 a slice Usually delicious.
