Good bread but slice sizes are weird. I wish I could have seen the original whole loaf. The biggest slice can be cut in thirds using 2 of those for one sandwich. Just got to be creative because you will not find 2 slices that match . I had to put them in another bag so the slices wouldn't flop around and get damaged . The slices could have been a bit thinner. Overall I like the bread.

Real sourdough has less than five or six ingredients. This has almost 30. Doesn’t even taste like sourdough. Absolutely disgusting. Smells terrible. Taste terrible. Texture like a sponge. Full of preservatives and unnecessary ingredients. Some of the worst bread I’ve ever had in my life. I see people on here saying that they loved it and I can’t even understand how that’s possible. It’s absolutely disgusting. Buy your sourdough somewhere else.

Whoever picked the items for my order really picked a bag that someone opened and stole slices from. I noticed the bag didn’t look as full and I could tell from the opening that it was opened because the bag clip wasn’t completely secured around the plastic. It was only on half of the plastic. I’m 1,000% positive the shopper knew someone had opened the bag and purposely picked it for my order, probably cause they needed to get rid of it but you can report something like that to a supervisor and properly dispose of it instead of risking the health of a customer. Absolutely sick and disgusting

This is closest to San Francisco real sourdough bread as you can get; none of the other brands come close, especially not the in-house baked. (You should be able to smell a yeasty sourdough scent thru the wrapper, and CERTAINLY when you put your nose next to a slice of it.) However, beginning Sept. 2023, something changed at Rustik bakery. The crust is no longer firm and chewy. The half-loaves (you only get 6 slices per pkg, no one took any out!) are put into cellophane wrapper before they cool down, making the bread too moist and therefore squishy. There ought to be some big airholes in sourdough; there aren't. Nevertheless, this is the very best sourdough available in Las Vegas, NV grocery stores and you get addicted to it.

This is the best bread. Ignore those reviews who give it 1 star for bread missing, you only get half a loaf, and its pricey. i always keep 2 in the freezer. a little expensive for big families who eat a lot of bread, but well worth the price for me! BTW, Walmart keeps a display up in the deli area.

Simply the best sourdough bread outside of a bakery. Even then it's neck and neck. Hard to get because it's so good and popular. I hate to leave this review because it may get even hard to buy. But these guys do a good job and deserve the kudos. Great!

Texture, simple ingredients, freshness, and of course, TASTE! 5-STAR, AND RATED nationally as in top 3. Price beats Kroger except when on sale. It freezes beautifully, and I keep 2-3 loaves in freezer at all times. Bonus: Sourdough is good for the gut.

I've tried several sourdough breads, this one has them all beat, for taste texture and slice size. it works great for real cheese or sandwiches. I love it toasted or on the grill with some butter. I also make killer garlic bread with it when I make pasta.

I love the flavor of this bread and the fact that there is no sugar added! As usual with sourdough it gets crumbly and can't eat a sandwich without it falling apart. Isn't there something to add to the recipe to prevent that? I bought a similar brand, I don't remember the name, and didn't have that problem with sandwiches. Otherwise, this is my go to sourdough.

Over the years, I’ve purchased this bread frequently and always enjoyed it. The order I received last week did not taste like sourdough. Tasted and smelled like regular white bread. Sourdough taste was missing. Less slices in the package. I detest the sneaky way of raising prices by reducing the amount! My next sourdough purchase will be Safeway. Hopefully they still have real sourdough.
