I prefer sourdough to have the tang it is supposed to and be solid on the inside but not too moist. the outside should be a crisp, chewy crust...in the olden days when Seattle's sourdough really was sour dough. Exactly Sourdough not just another mushy loaf.

This is great bread. I've gotten very fresh loaves. It's soft and chewy and decently thick. Yes, there's not a lot of slices, but to be fair, the first few slices are huge! I use 1 slice for a whole sandwich because they are so big. You get what you pay for. It's premium bread, so to keep the cost down, you get fewer slices. Make it yourself if you want more at the same quality. I'll keep buying it because sometimes it's quality over quantity.
