This whiskey is a family ordeal in our home. My father introduced me to it and so on. I once gave my friend a pour into his glass before he could get his bottle of jack opened. We then watched a whole fifth of jack swirl down the sink, amd he has never touched another whisky since.

For those who have been down the Bourbon Trail we know that this is not a Top Tier bourbon BUT it is a Good bourbon. Maker's Mark is a good every day drinker and does mix well. Doesn't give the Kentucky Hug as much as others so it is smooth. I do enjoy a Maker's Old Fashioned and always have a bottle on hand.

i drink all of it,it's nice reading about all these special releases,but the odds of ever seeing one are remote at best This is not exclusive to Makers Mark,but to all distilleries,i enjoy Eagle Rare also ,but to score a bottle or two a year is a miracle,not to mention the special releases from Makers

This is our go-to bourbon. He's been a Makers Ambassador for years and I became one last year. We love this bourbon! Very smooth, low burn and if ypu let it sit in a decanter for a few weeks, you get flavors of honey and caramel. Pairs nicely with a med bodied cigar.

Makers Mark Bourbon Whiskey 175L Bottle is a bourbon that goes down smooth and easy. It's not one that is so strong it's hard to enjoy. It's made with soft red winter wheat as opposed to rye. And, of course the iconic red wax seal on the bottle they're famous for! They have a free ambassador program on their website. At the end of a long work week, my friends and I like to fix us some drinks and sit by the fire and unwind. Maker's Mark Whiskey is the perfect drink to either start the night or end the night here. Sometimes we don't end until the sun comes up, but it's always a great time!
