It is great for a family like ours who is always coming in and out. We also have 3 dogs and we use to have to vacuum several times a day. Now with a roomba we can finally stay on top of all our other chores and have more time to hang out as a famliy, and with it's obstacle avoidance I dont have to worry about it getting stuck. To anyone who is thinking of getting one, I highly recommend this product.

It's a full featured unit that maps all our rooms and focus areas. It can be scheduled for any combination. It's good at missing obstructions and rerely gets stuck. So far we haven't had to empty the bag. It seems more for surface cleaning, hardwood floors and heavier rugs for us.

Welcomed my new cleaning lady iRobot. We named her Stella. You program your iRobot to clean the carpet and floors. It will clean you whole house or certain rooms. Just select which room or rooms to clean. I turn on Stella when I do errands and when I come home my carpet and floors are clean. Saves so much time to do other things. You will love this Roomba J7.

I've been using it for about two months, and I've found it to be a handy vacuum to keep up with regular, low-maintenance vacuuming. Pros: - The vacuum can really do the job from start to finish with no human intervention. It returns to its base when it's full and empties into a small bin and then resumes cleaning. - It maps your home. You can save and name maps and use these in the future to assign Roomba specific spaces to clean. - It reaches some harder to reach places that are difficult to reach with other vacuums, such as under beds and couches. - It does a good job navigating around objects / people / pets. My cat is now fully comfortable around Roomba :-). CONS: - It's not a super powerful vaccuum. I tried Roomba on carpet under a guest bed that had some serious cat hair over it. Roomba was not quite powerful enough to really remove the hair, even after several attempts over the carpet. - It is loud enough that you can't really 'set it and forget it' while you're on the same floor. Overall, I really like to use Roomba when I'm already cleaning. It is great to have a device that is handling both hardwood floor and carpet cleaning, and I can follow up afterward with a quick sweep to collect anything out of Roomba's reach. I have noticed running Roomba 1-2x/week has helped keep the carpet looking noticeably cleaner. It's helped to keep the cat hair to a minimum.

Now make a scrubbing mop robot of same or better quality with self-cleaning/refilling properties that is not merely a wet towelette being dragged across the floor, and you'll have finally kept the promises iRobot made years ago, but before this, never kept.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house is very busy and I have 3 dogs and two children. Though this roomba is small it's got quite a long run time. It can get through my whole main floor without having to recharge. I'm also quite impressed with how much dog hair you can fit inside this little thing! There are a couple little spaces it obviously can't get into so doesn't eliminate having to vacuum yourself but it's a nice ittle helper!

I love the self empty because I hate when I go to vacuum and forgot to empty from the time before. Suction seems good and cleans well. The dock area is as compact as can be.

I have all hard floors with some area rugs, 3 dogs, and one kid. This is my third Roomba and the one I'm least impressed with... On the plus, the mapping is nice with the option to send Roomba to specific locations. It does an ok job in places where it doesn't have to 'think', like the hall and open spaces. However, while rooms are mapped, it won't go everywhere that has been mapped, often missing chunks of space. It has trouble with furniture, seeming to forget where it is when moving around a piece, even if it's part of the map. It does not avoid obstacles as expected and runs right in to/over toys that would be a comparable size to the poop it's supposed to go around. It also bumps in to base boards and furniture, even large pieces. It can get over a thicker (1ish inch) rug get under a bed, but then gets trapped as it can't get back on the same rug to get out. It has some kind of weird issue in one room where it will vacuum for two minutes, go to the base to empty, go back to the room, two minutes, go to empty, and repeat. It is set to run on a schedule, but sometimes just decides it's done without finishing, or even visiting, all locations. Overall, not a fan. While it's better than nothing, having to vacuum around behind it defeats its purpose.

Robot is very well built and Very Easy to set up. However, their Online Support is Horrible ! I sent in a question weeks ago now an to this date , No One has responded !! Sent several follow up msgs, but Nothing. A Very good product can be destroyed by Very Poor Customer Service.. Don 9/5/22

I have the J7+. Love it. Have had it for about two months. It does a great job. I have vinyl plank flooring and some carpeted floors. It works well on both. I do not have pets. Mapping is a breeze to do and the app is very user friendly. Would recommend.
