I have the Select membership and the J7 Robot, the membership is an awesome idea and sends replacement parts for the Robot and gives you the option to order them early if you need them. However the Robot was only great for about 8 months before it started messing up badly. Gets stuck during the job constantly and tells me the dust bin is full when there is little to nothing in the bin. Now it's starting to tell me one of the wheels in stuck, when it's not. I have to go find it and put in back on the dock and then go into the app and hit continue, which never actually continues the job it starts all over again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After waiting many, many months, I finally received this product. It was very well packaged, with no space wasted in the box. Looking over the setup instructions, it seems simple, yet complicated, as it needs multiple feet of space around the charging base for it to navigate in and out. I have to rearrange my spare bedroom to provide enough space for an adequate setup.

Daily clean 1st floor. Mostly hardwood, some carpet. Insanely loud on hard wood. As someone who works from home, I can't stand it. If it ran when I wasn't home it might be OK, but most days I'm home and it's so much louder than our canister vacuum that I'd rather haul it downstairs to vacuum than letting this thing run when anyone is home. If I run it in the middle of the night, it does poorly with low lighting and wakes up everyone by emptying with its jet engine level auto empty feature. Interesting concept, but not worth sacrificing my ears for 3-4 hours while it tries to make its way around. Looking for an alternative option at this point. Only nice thing is the part replacement service so we don't run out or bags or roller. The vacuum itself is average or below average.

First off the design is very compact and attractive. I love the silver top and matte black finish. It's super easy to keep it clean. The navigation is very impressive. Most of my debris is picked up after each run but on some runs it does miss spots. Not as loud as an upright so you can run it when you're home. Easy to maintain and clean. My only issues have been software related. I had to create a new map because the only got corrupted when it kept updating it after each run. It will randomly reboot and some times it freezes. Even with these issues it's saves me hours of my time and keeps the dust and dirt at bay.

With a dog, it is great to not have to empty the vacuum every day. On the down side, you do have to buy bags for it, but they seem to hold a good amount. I have been really happy with my j7 after the first few weeks. It is a vast improvement over the first Roomba that I purchased back in 2017. It mapped my house quickly and I love being able to tell it which rooms to vacuum. It cleans efficiently and quietly and the self-emptying feature is great.

We had to move our furniture around before running the Roomba to ensure it could get to all corners of the room and also get back onto the docking pad. We found it quite loud on our hardwood floors, but it's not a huge deterrent as it can run when we're not home. The set up is quick and easy and we downloaded the app on our phone without any problems. We have pets, so one of the downfalls is their toys are on the floor, which then become obstacles for the Roomba. It's something we'll have to figure out, to prevent any issues while the vacuum runs when we're not home. It's great to know that the main area of our house gets a quick clean without any effort, though!

It is so easy to use and clean my floors, and the fact that I can set a schedule and not have to worry about vacuuming my floor is a huge time saver. To be honest it cleans about 97% of my floors and does an amazing job. Benefits in owning a Roomba j9+ Vacuum: 1. Completely customizable and use though the app 2. Set a schedule though the app when and where you want it to clean 3. Easy to navigate any issues/troubleshooting 4. The app allows you to customize and name rooms to clean such as kitchen, living room etc.... 5. The iRobot takes pictures of obstacles and you can view in the app 6. Moves easily over my carpet, tile and laminate flooring 7. It tells you when something needs to be changes or replaced 8. The cleaning station is amazing and keeps all the dirt and dust away 9. The battery power lasts my whole cleaning which takes about 1hr 24 mins 10. If I don't want to use the app, I can take my iRobot 11. No longer have to sweep and vacuum due to the type of floors I have. Con's 1. It doesn't go up/down stairs 2. My animals think it's a toy 3. Little noisy if you're watching TV while it's running 4. It's doesn't like the pellet cat litter Overall, I would buy this product over a standard vacuum any day. I highly recommend the iRobot Roomba j9+ Vacuum, I love that I know longer need to get off work and sweep/vacuum my floors.

The new J9+ is definitely an upgrade over my old i7+, however it's still not quite enough to use for deep cleaning as a primary vacuum. I have a corgi and 2 cats and they leave a lot of hair. If I don't do maintenance vacuuming daily, it can accumulate. The daily maintenance may be exactly what this Roomba is best for - small amounts of hair on a regular basis. I tried running it after I had neglected the carpet for a week due to various life events and it just couldn't cut it. The battery life is definitely improved, though, and vacuuming our entire 3rd floor took less juice than our old Roomba vacuuming just the living room. Additionally, it picks up way more hair than the old device as well, with much better suction than we had with the i7+. I would recommend the J9+ if you're just looking for something to do lightweight maintenance but don't expect a deep clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older version of the Roomba. The j7 is definitely a welcomed upgrade. The robot travels in an organized way and a camera detects features and obstacles in your home. The technology in this robot is an upgrade from the older version. I have two dogs. One dog has white fur and sheds continuously. As seen in my attached video, my dog likes to sleep under our table. His fur is everywhere! As the Roomba drove through my dog's mess, you will notice that it picked up all of the fur with one swipe. How wonderful for pet owners! I also noticed that this vacuum drove over thresholds between rooms without issues. The older version would sometimes get stuck on these thresholds, but not the j7! It easily glided across floors. I appreciate that I can let this vacuum go and trust that it can finish the job without my intervention. The noise of the vacuum could be improved, however. It is a bit noisy. The motor of the vacuum and the travel noise can be heard across the house. Overall, I would recommend this vacuum. I would also recommend it to friends and family. The set up was extremely easy and straight forward. The app is visually appealing and understandable. As a mom and a fur mom, I am happy to use products that are time saving and effective. This roomba is just that! I am happy to continue to explore the features of this vacuum and share my thoughts with others.
