I signed up for the select program with hesitation; however after running multiple calculations and factoring in the amount I actually use my Roomba I made the decision and I couldn't be happier. I am a busy mom of 5 kids and I have had a Roomba 960 for years after getting new flooring in the house I decided on an upgrade and man am I impressed with the new technology especially of upgrading from an older version. The vacuuming itself is significantly quieter, the navigation is impressive compared to the other and if I forget to pickup I'm not terrified she will wreak havoc on my house. This model can navigate around the most cluttered areas impressively. I'm also excited and find useful the advanced mapping technology for targeting cleaning or avoided the cluttered playroom altogether. I've never known another brand of robotic vacuum; so I can't speak on that comparison but it is a huge upgrade from my previous Roomba. I feel at ease that I don't have to hear anymore errors from full dust bins and I pretty much just let her do her thing. The select program gives me a sense of comfort that I won't have any additional expenses other than my monthly payment. There is ONE CON; she sounds like a jet engine landing when she empties her bin. At first I was terrified, then I laughed, then I realized 15 seconds of noise is nothing compared to emptying that terrible dust bin! If you're on the fence do it!

I received this for Christmas last year so I've had it almost 1 yr. It works very well and I love the app so I can send it wherever it is needed. It navigates obstacles very well and does pretty good in the corners. My only complaint is the connection. It seems I do have to power it on/off and or reboot my router about every 3rd time I use it because it will not connect. However, once it does, I love it.

I am so tired of my Roomba j7 and Braava mop. I am on my second one of each in less than a year and can count on one hand how many times I have gotten them to work without calling support. My roomba (after hand clearing the bin that the automatic station will no longer clear) is now wandering around my bedroom aimlessly, not vacuuming and not responding to the app. Over $1300 worth of products that have never worked properly. What a waste!

Robot is very well built and Very Easy to set up. However, their Online Support is Horrible ! I sent in a question weeks ago now an to this date , No One has responded !! Sent several follow up msgs, but Nothing. A Very good product can be destroyed by Very Poor Customer Service.. Don 9/5/22

I don't understand all the negative reviews on this product. I have purchased other brands that were not self emptying and constantly got stuck. This vacuum is 100% better all around than anything else I have tried. I live in an old dark house and because of low light other vacuums would just freak out on dark rugs and things and just stop. My advice to anyone wanting a robot vac is to save your money and go with this model. I use this one and it is great that you can program it and have it do a room or two or The whole house. It has never gotten stuck and always finds its way back to the base. I am not sure what kind of abuse some of these negative reviewers may be subjecting their appliance thru but I've had mine almost a year and I love it!

As a previous Eufy fan with pets, I was desperate for the poop detection. So far, I have had no complaints. While the eufy seemed to have better suction and left less dirt and hair behind. It's lack of mapping meant areas would be missed. The smart features of this robovac are really impressive. I love how it recharges and then completes the job. Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend over eufy if you have a pet.

I received this vacuum for free in exchange for my honest review so here it is. The iRobot J8+ has some pros and some notable cons. Admittedly, I am comparing against the Shark Matrix, which we're happy with. The pros: self emptying canister, doesn't get "as stuck" as our Shark Matrix. It does a great job of scanning the room and with navigation overall. Irobot seemed a little confused when the lights are off though, unlike our Shark, which does great in the dark. Now for my honest cons: the self-emptying mechanism is LOUD. It sounds like a jet engine taking off every time it finishes a cleaning cycle and empties the bin. Admittedly, my Shark is not self-emptying, so maybe that's normal? As far as cleaning goes, I'm not sure if it's the rollers or what, but it leaves a lot of hair behind (we have a very fluffy cat with sticky undercoat), even on the high-suction setting. This was extremely disappointing so I would tell Roomba to continue developing suction power or look at different rollers perhaps? Our Shark Matrix (even on the normal setting) gets all of the hair in one pass, which is exactly what you'd expect. And honestly, the Shark makes a cuter sound when it's finished too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iRobot was easy to setup and connect with the app. Once the initial mapping was done it was simple to setup up the room zones even though the robot was able to map some rooms independently. Setting up jobs and a schedule for the robot was easy and worked great. Cleaning the robot was easy and doesn't make a mess in the process. I used to have to vacuum every single morning and now with the iRobot I can set up schedules to take those chore away from me.

I figured it would be super noisy but it’s very quiet, I love the mapping of the house it does before you start it for the very first clean. It works amazing on hardwood floors, carpets and rugs small throw rugs you have to pull up or the rumba will get stuck on them but that’s fine you have to do that anyways with a regular vacuum. It’s very effective and efficient cleans my whole living room in under 10 mins. You can adjust the suction as well as the noise levels. The battery life on it is amazing as well, the battery last long if you set it on a small suction level vs a high suction level. Just depends on how dirty the area is that you’re trying to clean. The rumba came with an extra filter as well as the little wheel brush for vacuuming and an extra trash bag which is pretty big and I feel like will last a long time. Once the cleaning is completed the robot will automatically go back home and self empty everything you picked up during your cleaning schedule. I love mine and even though I received mine free for my honest opinion/review I would have definitely purchased it myself. It’s very convenient and works amazing even better than my push vacuum. Worth every penny!
