Always thought my two dogs wouldn't like it like the regular vacuum and try to attack it. I was afraid it would get destroyed the first time out. Nope... they can't even be bothered to move out of the way when it gets near them. Wish I had bought it years ago. And the best part is it does a great job cleaning also!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Roomba® j9+ Robot Vacuum for free through BzzAgent in exchange for my honest opinion. I love this product! It's easy to use and even easier to set up. The Roomba came with very easy to read and easy to understand instructions. Once you've downloaded the app you get to name it. Mine is Dusty Bottoms! The first thing it does is map out the room. Let it run and roam the house. I think it's pretty cool that it learns the layout of your home and your able to see it on the app. Once it has mapped out the room, you're able to select where it vacuums or just select vacuum everywhere. You can also set it to vacuum on a schedule or just open the app for it to vacuum as needed. My favorite part is the Roomba finds it way "home" and empties itself! I have 3 dogs and this has been a great help! I do have two cons, though. The first one, The Roomba is guaranteed to avoid objects that are in the way like dog poo. I set up 2 obstacles to test it and it didn't exactly avoid it. I set a small box on the floor. The Roomba bumped into it twice before finally moving around it. I have 2 dogs that are still potty training so we have weewee pads set out. I just make sure to remove the weewee pad before setting Dusty Bottoms to work. My second con is that it doesn't vacuum along the edges very well. It seems like it tries to but it bumps up against the base board then turns. It doesn't do one sweeping motion to get clean up against the base boards. I've added a video to show how it doesn't exactly avoid objects. All in all, this vacuum is pretty cool and extremely useful. I 100% recommend it.

Love that it cleans when I don't have the time, but with an infant in the house, it's too loud to run when she's sleeping and it doesn't clean quickly enough. It took multiple charges for it to clean a space that I could have vacuumed in just a few minutes. It also missed spots and needed assistance in certain locations as it would get stuck, suck up a curtain, or be unable to get past an obstacle.

We have a white German shepherd and if you know you know . Our house is full of white fur that's gets everywhere and is never ending. We had the Roomba I3 and decided to upgrade to the J9+ vacuum. WORTH IT !!!!! We have it run and now I feel like we have our house back . The self empty features is amazing !!! Beforehand I would have to empty it out several time on a clean because of all the fur. Now when it gets full it goes to the base and self empty and continues with the clean . I love my roomba and it makes me feel so much better coming home to a clean house and not having to worry to vacuum everyday .

I have a J7+. Routinely runs over cords and other objects. Bumps into everything hard enough to knock things off of shelves. Literally knocked a candlestick onto my head today like the villain in a game of clue. Pushes objects as large as cat trees and end tables around. Suction and cleaning isn't bad, but not great either. It does the job as long as it runs every day.

We have a home with a lot of pets (3 small dogs and 4-5 cats). All are indoor pets so we get a lot of shedding going on. This robot has been wonderful at helping to keep the mess down. "Rosie" runs every morning during the week and we deep clean vacuum on the weekends. I love seeing the tracks on the carpet each day and knowing that she's helping to keep up with the hair. She doesn't pick up everything and we often times have little tufts of hair left on the carpet but she works wonders on the hard floors to keep the litter mess to a minimum. If we had full hard floors upstairs, I would pair with the mop robot. Rosie also is great at avoiding obstacles (we haven't had a mishap yet). She knows each of our pets and that they are all temporary obstacles to avoid. I can't remember the last time I had to review an obstacle. We also have a dog that is not quite housebroken and Rosie has never had a poop-cident. I am very impressed with this vacuum. The only real issue we have is that she doesn't seem to stay charged as much as she used to. She used to be able to do the whole upstairs on one charge and now seems to go back to the base one or two times to complete it. Not a huge thing and she still does a great job.

After owning a Shark robot vacuum , I would say that the Roomba does a better job in terms of mapping your house and cleaning. The battery life of this vacuum is also very long. My upstairs is about 4,000 sq ft and it vacuums the whole area on one charge. One thing I do not like about this vacuum is that it's very loud. It sounds like a tractor while driving around and cleaning. It also makes the most loudest sound when emptying its bin. If you have napping children in the home, this vacuum will definitely wake them up. It also gets stuck A LOT, so unless you have an absolute bare and clutter free space, you cannot leave this vacuum unattended for the duration of the cleaning as it will get stuck. Overall, I would give this a 3.8 rating.

It gives me time back and gives me peace of mind knowing that it's keeping on top of the pet hair. It finds dirt and dust you never knew was there! I love how it slows down slightly before it reaches the walls or furniture. It doesn't bang into anything. It cleans effectively and I love how the app allows me to set up a chore for it (I've named mine Sunshine ☺️). And it tells me when she's finished. SO worth the investment. It's a must if you have pets. Trust me!!!

I loved Ruby2 so much that I got a Ruby3 for the lower level. These are game changers! Ruby1 was relegated to the RV garage. She doesn't have the self emptying feature. So convenient to schedule the other 2, and I don't have to babysit them. I have a 5400 sq. ft. home, so these gals really help out. They really keep the dust under control. So far I am beyond delighted with their performance. I've only had them a short time, so hopefully I will continue to be thrilled.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house is very busy and I have 3 dogs and two children. Though this roomba is small it's got quite a long run time. It can get through my whole main floor without having to recharge. I'm also quite impressed with how much dog hair you can fit inside this little thing! There are a couple little spaces it obviously can't get into so doesn't eliminate having to vacuum yourself but it's a nice ittle helper!
