It is a little clumsy and did get stuck a couple times, but overall it has preformed really well. The app makes it really easy to control and track your cleaning throughout the area. It even takes pictures of obstacles and shows it in the clean report! I was provided with this product in exchange for my honest feedback.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vacuums like a dream! Just download the App from the App Store and the Robot is off running doing its thing. Cleaning is not so much of o big chore anymore since I bought the new IRobot Roomba j9+. This little robot takes is very simple to setup, first download the IRobot home App follow the simple setup instructions connecting it to your home net work. Then set up a mapping of the entire house ( will take 90 minutes or so) then set up a schedule within the App. Once all that is done it’s off working for you. The home docking station is where it will charge and empty its container of dirt from vacuuming the floor. The Robot is pretty quiet while it is running its coarse, but while it is docked and cleaning out the dirt it has collected into the filter inside the docking station it gets pretty loud. The bottom has two rubber wheels that grip really well on carpet or tile and has sensor and cameras that detect objects. Overall it’s a really great vacuum and cuts my cleaning time in half.

I am very pleased with this iRobot cleaner and its self emptying station. Using this is convenient and simplifies cleaning my floors. This is quiet, holds quite a bit of debris before it returns to the emptying station. It has the power and battery life to clean all rooms in my house. Powerful suction that traps all or most of the debris. Especially dirt, dust and cat litter. Now for the navigation, it comes with steps and materials to program the system to your preferred destination and schedule. I recommend using this in your home on your flooring surfaces. Works great on my hardwood and tile floors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The roomba J9+ is an incredible vacuum. This vacuum is a high performing computer compared to a calculator. It feels light years ahead compared to a normal roomba. I've been a long time roomba customer as I have a golden retriever who sheds like crazy and my house has NEVER been this consistently clean. The vacuum is also extremely quiet. At one point I forgot that I had set it's schedule for 9am on a weekend and I didn't even know it was running until I got up to make coffee and it was doing is thing. The maps are very accurate and easy to work with. I spilled some dirt in my laundry room after tipping over one of my plants. I just sent my roomba over directly to the laundry and BAM spotless!! No need to take out my big vacuum. This product in comparison is light years in technology away from any other vacuum. The self emptying feature is also amazing. We have a pretty big house. It's first cleaning/mapping run took 8 hrs but boy the house was clean after that. The making features are A-MA-ZING too. After the robot's done cleaning your house it will let you know of any obstructions it identified and ask if they are permanent so they can avoid it in the future. In one room I have a large decorative mirror that rests on the floor. I used to always have my husband move the mirror so it wasn't hit by our old roomba. Now I can mark where I don't want the roomba to go. It's incredible it takes a wide path around any objects you mark as do not clean around. If your somebody who has vases or plants set for level this vacuum is a game changer. Honestly I know the price seems high but if you have dogs or cats who routinely shed, a large house, fragile items on the floor, or all of the above like me it is WORTH the price to get routinely clean floors and peace of mind that you're not going to come home to broken or damaged item All the while of having perfectly clean floors. This product is so distinctly different in Performance that i'm kicking myself for not getting it earlier. It's a game changer and worth the investment. It's truly not a mark up because it's pretty or fancier looking. No it is just THAT MUCH BETTER.

Our robot is constantly getting stuck on power cords, trapped in corners, and similar faults. We have two dogs that shed and our j7 gets clogged up a lot. Mostly it's the wheels that get clogged up. This causes tracking and emptying issues. It does not seem to recognize dogs and thier movements interfere a lot as it overreacts to them (trying to go around them). Door mats/rugs are not recognized and the vac can get snagged or stuck. Same is true with bathroom mats/rugs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm loving our new Roomba. With 2 dogs and a toddler, I can't keep up with the daily messes. The Roomba is perfect for a daily sweep to keep things tidy. As expected, it doesn't quite make its way into corners and along the floor molding, but for maintenance cleaning it's exactly what we needed!

We use this Roomba J7 on hardwood floors. The mapping feature is very good. As we use the Roomba J7 more, the maps get more accurate. Setting up zones and naming zones allows the vacuum to go directly to the zone you prefer to clean instead of the total floor map. We are very happy after 1 month of usage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup for this robot was very easy and I was surprised at how quickly and accurately it was able to create a map of the house. The object detection was very helpful in planning for scheduled cleaning and creating zones for the robot to clean.

I use this vacuum to clean a 25 by 25 foot room. The floor is tile, with a .2 inch grout gap between tiles. The machine does not like to go over the gaps. It makes a thunking noise at every gap, and sometimes turns a bit. After a while it will get lost. This was remedied (mostly) by sticking a felt pad to the underside of the vacuum. The felt pad slides along the floor, barely touching. When the rear wheel hits a tile gap, the pad supports vacuum, so the constant thumping isn't nearly as bad as it used to be. With 2 dogs that shed a lot, the vacuum is used every day, and the vacuum itself needs to be cleaned weekly. Sometimes more often than that. Large clumps of fur will clog it on occasion. This vacuum would be fine on a smooth floor with no dogs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum has been a huge time saver for me. It was very easy to sync the vacuum to the app and get going. I love that after it did its mapping runs i was able to set up rooms, zones and label each one individually. I can easily set a schedule through the app for which rooms I want done at certain times or days. To do the whole house it takes about 2 hours and 50 min which includes a 58 min charging. It sends itself to the charger and once it has enough charge it finishes the job. I love it, and it's not too loud either. I do wish the debris bin was a little but bigger, but I just empty it out once it goes to the charging station during and after the job.
