Most regulator issues are fixable with a bit of troubleshooting. <br /><br />Alternatively, if you&#39;re looking to get your grill set up sooner, the option of a return for a replacement is available at your point of purchase. Thank you for taking time to leave a review. The Cooking Grates are constructed of Porcelain Coated Cast iron. The Heat tents (flavour bars) are as well, but the difference is that the heat tents are a glossy finish where the cooking grates are a matte finish and take on the porous texture of the cast iron underneath. The cast iron cooking grates will still need to be seasoned. For best care of the cooking grates:<br /><br />CLEANING PORCELAIN CAST IRON COOKING GRATES:<br />During preheat, brush cooking grates with a grill brush to remove debris.<br />IF A MORE THOROUGH CLEANING IS REQUIRED:<br />1. Wash cooking grates with soap and water only.<br />2. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a towel. If cleaning on a very hot day, allow grates to dry in the sun.<br /> <br />SEASONING: <br />When cooking grates are clean; Using rubber gloves spread VEGETABLE SHORTENING over the entire grate surface. Be thorough. Vegetable oil or canola oil are also good options. Do<br />not use salted fats such as butter or margarine. Position the seasoned grates into the grill. Light your grill, and set to Medium temperature for 30 minutes. Turn all controls &#34;OFF&#34; and close the LP gas cylinder. Let the cooking grates cool. This procedure should be repeated several times throughout the season, to ensure optimal protection from damages related to humidity and<br />corrosion. <br /><br />CAUTION: Always handle Porcelain-Coated Cast Iron grates with care to avoid damaging the porcelain enamel finish.<br /><br />Hope this helps.
