Good dishwasher for the price
Works well. Easy to use. Looks good and a good price for having a metal tub. Two very minor issues - The silverware caddy grid holes are a little small for silverware with large-ish handles. Fine for most "normal" sized silverware. The rods that stick up from the bottom rack are straight. I've used dishwashers where those have a little bend in them and that works somehat better.
Hello! Appreciate you sharing your thoughts — sounds like your Dishwasher is doing a solid job on the cleaning front, and that sleek look plus the metal tub is always a win. We’ll make sure your notes about the silverware caddy and the straight tines on the lower rack get passed along to our product team. If you ever need anything down the road, you can always reach out to @LGUSSupport. ^James
Outstanding operation
Pleased with this product. The 1 hr cycle cleans even heavy loads well. Night drying is nice also. Door closing makes a fairly loud snapping noise that I was initially concerned with but may be normal. One item to improve is the lighting around the cycle select buttons; Until the button is selected there is no lighting to see them on the dark panel. I use a flashlight.
Hello! Thanks for sharing your feedback about your LG Dishwasher—sounds like that speedy one-hour cycle and overnight drying feature are making your daily routine a breeze. We are absolutely thrilled to hear how well it tackles those heavy loads. We appreciate your helpful notes regarding the door seal sound and the cycle panel visibility, and we will certainly share these insights with our product development team to help us improve future designs. If you ever need anything down the road, feel free to reach out to @LGUSSupport. ^James
Specs are not correct
We just received the LG dishwasher, so I really rate can't give it a positive or negative review. I would like to point out that the specs do not include the rubber gasket that goes around the side and top of the dishwasher. The actual width dimension should be 24 1/8 and the height should be 34 1/4. Our dishwasher will not slide back into the cubby. Therefore, it protrudes just enough to cause it to be accidentally turned on by bumping the control panel.
Faulty dishwasher, loud, small, error code
I purchased this dishwasher several months ago, and initially it washed the dishes to a shimmery, spotless clean. Unfortunately, that only lasted for fewer than five cycles before I received an error message indicating it wasn’t getting enough water. When I contacted the manufacturer, they advised me to reach out to a local plumber. Rather than deal with the hassle, I chose to return the unit and replace it with a Maytag dishwasher, which so far has performed without any issues.
Hi, Jonathan. Thank you for reaching out, and we understand the importance of having your LG Dishwasher (LDFC2423V) model deliver the same reliable performance you experienced during those first few cycles. One step that may help is checking the inlet filter screen located where the water line connects to the dishwasher. Mineral buildup or debris can restrict flow and cause the low‑water message. Removing the hose and rinsing the screen under running water can restore proper filling. Horrible Rack Design and Terrible Odor. No Good!
This dishwasher looks nice and performs horrible with washing and drying. Machine must have constant cleaning of its filter screen or mold grows quickly and odors are strong when door remains opened or closed. Does not completely dry on any setting, after wash cycle completes “END” I open the door to help complete drying. This dishwasher is a waste of money!
Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out. We understand the importance of having your LG Dishwasher (LDFC2423V) model deliver the level of cleaning and drying you expect, and we appreciate you sharing the details of what you’ve been experiencing.<br /><br />For the washing and odor concerns, one helpful step is to run the Tub Clean cycle using a dishwasher cleaner. This helps break down buildup inside the unit and can greatly reduce odors. In addition, the filter should be rinsed regularly under warm water to maintain optimal performance. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dishwasher-maintenance--1433962981524. For drying performance, we recommend enabling the Extra Dry option and ensuring that Rinse Aid is filled, as this significantly improves drying results on all cycles. Poor Design
Poorly designed! Shelf’s are awkward to load. Most items do not fit well. Front control panel is labeled black on charcoal. This layout does not provide contrast for readability. All in all just not easily usable.
Hi, Elizabeth. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the LG Dishwasher (LDFC2423V) model. We understand the importance of having a dishwasher that’s easy to load and operate.<br /><br />One helpful step you can try is adjusting the upper rack height to its alternate position. This can create more space for larger items on the bottom rack and may help improve loading flexibility. You can also angle items differently on the tines to make better use of the available space, as this model’s rack design supports multiple loading patterns. LG does NOT honor their warranty
This dishwasher lasted a total of 16 months before the top line on the display stopped working. Warranty for parts and labor is one year but specifically, the warranty for the control panel is for 2 years. Contacted LG to get a replacement control panel but they would not ship a new one. Claimed a "technician" had to come diagnose the problem yet there is only one control panel in the unit and it's clearly not working properly. Cost of said technician, $369 which makes zero sense for a $440 dishwasher. So bottom line, LG does not stand behind their products. They will not ship you a replacement part regardless of what evidence you provide them that the part is not working properly and offering to ship the defective part back. After spending close to an hour with their online help chat, nothing was resolved other than guaranteeing that we will NEVER buy another LG product. Stay away from LG!!
Hi, Karl. Thank you for reaching out. We understand the importance of having your LG Dishwasher (LDFC2423V) model supported properly. For display‑related issues on this model, one helpful step is to power‑cycle the unit by turning off the circuit breaker for about 30 seconds, then restoring power to see if the control panel resets and the missing segments return. This can help determine whether the issue is related to the panel or the board connection. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-LDFC2423V.APZEEUS. Since we have had this dish washer it has thrown up RE error code and does not work upon ‘resetting the appliance’. Super disappointing as it’s not cheap.
Touchy front panel buttons
This is definitely the most frustrating dishwasher I've used, mostly for the fact they put touch controls on the front panel. I cant tell you how many times it has interrupted a cycle from me using the counter directly above it and accidentally hitting a button. They should never put the TOUCH controls on the front, they're ultra sensitive. It would be much better if they were physical buttons.
Hi. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us regarding your LG LDFC2423V Dishwasher. We aim to design modern, highly efficient kitchen appliances that bring comfort to your home routines, and we want to help ensure your cycle settings run smoothly without interruption. When front-panel touch controls are highly sensitive to accidental contact, we recommend activating the Control Lock feature by pressing and holding the designated lock button combination for three seconds to temporarily disable the panel during operation. You can find detailed guidance on how to manage and lock your interface by visiting our official resource page at https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dishwasher-understanding-control-panel-indicators--20152435193453 for helpful instructions. Unreliable Delivery Experience
The supply chain experience has been extremely frustrating. My order was canceled at the last minute without any phone call or notification. I placed the order again and made constant follow-ups on the delivery date. It turned into a complete mess, requiring me to speak with multiple people across several departments—Sam's customer service, Sam's appliance department, LG customer care, a third-party company LG works with, and the third-party delivery company. Despite all these interactions, no one could provide a clear delivery window. Over the past month, I’ve spent more than 50 hours trying to figure out when it would be delivered, but I'm still left in the dark. The item hasn't arrived yet, and I have no idea when it will. If I could give zero stars for Sam's appliance delivery, I would. Communication has been terrible throughout. However, I do want to mention that there were a few really helpful customer service reps in the appliance department who went above and beyond, but even with their assistance, I couldn't get everything resolved.
