Prior to purchase I read the reviews. My ice machine came well packaged and was in pristine condition. Also, it came with a metal scoop that works perfect. I had a plumber install it. It makes ice fast and while it does fall in sheets they typically break when it hits the bin or a tap with the scoop. It’s been installed for 3 months and no issues.

Icemaker has been installed for three months. Performance is solid. Quickly produces a lot of ice. Only negative is you have to do a little breaking of ice sheets. I would purchase again.

I like everything about the ice maker except that it makes "sheets" of ice which i then have to hit with the scoop to break the sheet into individual ice cubes. That's why 4 stars instead of 5.

We just installed the Maxx Ice Freestanding Icemaker as a replacement. So far, so good. The ice produced is squares and they are solid. Love this shape. The Icemaker can get a little noisy when the water is deposited in the tray, but it does not bother me. I love having my icemaker!

Screw holding light in place was stripped.

We bought this ice maker in May. Ran great for three and a half months. This last week it stopped making ice. I called customer service and it sounds like the water pump went out. Maxx is sending out a new water pump, I hope that's the problem, if not it's going back to Sam's. Very disappointed, for price I paid.

1- it is super loud, I mean super super loud, we can hear it from the second floor, 2- I can’t get it to stop making ice, once you change the mode to just reserve whatever ice it has, the ice starts to melt away 3- leeks like crazy 4- waste tons on water while making the ice 5- very small ice cubes, it melts super fast in your drinks 6- just plain bad, I would pay $200 for it, even though I paid $1200 :-( I really wouldn’t recommend it at all

This ice machine worked great for about 2 months of minimal use. Then the drain pump stopped working and the unit leaked a few gallons of water on my new hardwood floors. I had to call customer service THREE times before they finally sent me a new pump. When you call, no one picks up, and you can leave as many voicemails as you want. No one will call you back. You can try emailing a few times, but they don't respond there either. To get anyone, you have to keep pressing numbers on your phone so you don't get routed to the answering machine. When you do finally get someone, they'll argue with you and tell you your drains are clogged... which they're not because the sink that this ties into works great... "How do you know it's the drain pump?" ..Well, I don't hear it and it's not moving water.... In fact, I literally think they have one guy on the phone because I get the same one each time. Anyway, I installed the new pump and it worked for about 2 weeks.... THANK YOU SAM'S for such a great return policy. Stop selling this piece of garbage.

Manufacturer has NO costumer service! Had it professionally installed. Worked only once then stayed on defrost... filled with water over and over. Called for help. Did a factory reset. It didn’t work. They didn’t want to help fix the issue and just told me to return it.

We ordered this icemaker for our game room, it arrived directly from the company to our home box was so damaged we refused it, they sent another which was also damaged but we were able to see it wasn't damaged so kept it. After 6 months pump went out, I emailed the company to see about getting a new pump but no reply to my email, we called Sams they were sending another one and when it also arrived it was so banged up we didn't even plug it in. Called Sams to try to arrange picking up item directly at the club but couldn't make it happen since it comes directly from the company to you. We are returning it and not ordering another one. Too much hassle and the company should get another delivery method. We have to personally take the 2 back ourselves and Sam's is 45 minutes away from our home. Go with a different ice maker it isn't worth all the hassle. No ice for us.
