The detergent consistency is very thick so it's strong enough to clean the dirtiest of laundry. The scent is very nice smelling but not too strong. People who are sensitive to fragrance need not to worry as there isn't a strong lingering smell on the clothes. I really like the size of the bottle as it is 100 fl oz and washes 50 loads. The cap has measuring lines to determine how much detergent to use based on the load size. The detergent color is a greenish blue but won't stain your whites/light colors.
