[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this dryer a month ago (Feb 24) being excited to have a new dryer (not 20+ years old) with so many new features. With a new dryer comes new sounds/smells. Well on May 8th the dryer blew up due to improper installation. Currently I have been without a replacement or a date to when I will receive a replacement. This has given me a very poor experience as I haven’t been able to test all the new features this dryer offers. This cause my entire house to lose power by tripping the main 200amp breaker and almost setting the wall on fire. If it can’t be installed correctly can’t say I recommend the product.

The dryer door let's the lent collect around the seal instead of the lent trap. They brought me a replacement, and it does the same thing. They then sent out a repair man who was a joke. With out even really checking it out, he said it was a manufacturing defect . And I'm stuck with a defective product. Not pleased at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this based on consumer reports and dealer/repair reports. First one would not fire up gas. Check lines for gas, ran checks and got NO GAS code. Dealer was going to repair under warranty but I told them I paid for a new dryer not a refurbished one. Took some talking to get them to replace the unit with a new one but all is good. Still a pain to get connected to ThinQ but once it connects it is great.. Like to be told when cycle is done. So far no problems, and time will tell. Took off one star because had to go thru two units to get one that worked.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my new 4000-series washer and dryer to replace a ten-year-old LG set I had (that are still working fine, by the way). But I sold that home and left the old set there and bought new ones for my new house. They're so fancy! I didn't think I'd use the ThinQ app but with the laundry upstairs, I can be anyplace and get a notification to my phone that the clothes are done. I haven't used the steam feature yet. I'm still learning what all the different cycles do, but it's a great set and I look forward to enjoying them for many, many years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 1 month now. Perfect fit to replace out, broken dryer. I based purchase on LG’s high customer reliability reviews on the LG app and on Consumer Reports ratings and then on the number of features versus price. So far, my loads come out dry with all the default and/or customized settings for high temperature and more dry time. Love the quiet low sound as it dries.

I bought this dryer and the matching LG WM4000HWA washer a couple of months ago and I've been very pleased with their performance. I upgraded from the previous LG models and find that this dryer dries clothes much faster and produces fewer wrinkles even if you forget to unload right away. For items that are very susceptible to wrinkles, I love the Steam Fresh function for touch ups. The clothes come out dry and smooth. The only problem I've had was snagging of small items in the vent openings around the lint trap. This didn't happen often but I called LG and they sent me a new lint trap that has resolved the issue thus far. Another nice feature is the LG app that sends a message to your phone when your clothes are done washing and drying. I'm very happy with both the washer and the dryer.

Got this dryer as a replacement for one that came in the house when we bought it. There are SO Many features-something for every need & situation. We’ve only really used the normal programmed settings, but you can tailor & customize to your hearts content. It’s only been a month, but so far happy with our choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this dryer for about a month and have easily learned our way around the options, I was a bit intimidated at first. I'm a fan of the little song it plays when my load is done. All my laundry easily fits, including our king comforter. We can get our girls' cloths done in one load! I have noticed that when I set it to "normal" dry it does leave some items slightly damp. I know a lot of people prefer this, so items don't shrink, but I am used to drying my items all the way dry. When this happens I just do the timed dry at 20 minutes and it takes care of any damp items. I've also had the opportunity to use the steam function. I can say it definitely works as an assistant to getting wrinkles out! I had a badly wrinkled cardigan, I tossed it in the dryer on steam and I was impressed how it came out. You will need to let the steam function run its full course to see results. The unit is VERY quiet. I leave the laundry room door open and the sound doesn't interfere or overwhelm us, like our old dryer. I am really happy with this dryer and I look forward to trying out even more features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer about 1.5 months ago...it took 3 weeks to be delivered. Downloading programs is easy, once you figure it out. Love the built- in technology. Haven't used all of it yet, but looking forward to it.
