Best of both worlds.

Propane starts the charcoal quickly without lighter fluid. Maybe add some wood chips too. We had seen this model and was impressed by the starting process. Charcoal adds so much more flavor, but can be messy with the lighter fluid. Well, this grill eliminates that requirement. I can already see us using this quite a bit since it will be easier. My wife & I were saying we need to make sure we get a cover for this as well, but after getting it home, she noticed on the box that a cover is included. Great. Even though we weren't sure that we were ready to buy, when we went to Sam's Club to get it, it was marked $50 dollars off. Great timing and our cue to just do it! Now all I gotta do is assemble it and start grilling. We're both excited.

Great to quality except

The parts are all made well and holes all line up great! The screws that are supplied are complete garbage quality. Do not I repeat do not use a drill the heads strip out super easy even with a screw driver. Goes together easy with one person although two people would make some parts easier.

Excellent grill for the money. I will be anxious to try it out.

Very sturdy & heavy. MANY steps for assembly, but the BILT app is very good.

Amazing price and design, however, assembly is extremely taxing and the build quality could be better.

The body could have been in 4 pieces and still been relatively small. The air control is flimsy, but we'll see how well it works in practice. Amazing product for the price overall.

cracked grill grate

I've had the grill for less then 6 months with only a hand full of times cooking on it and the grill grate in the middle broke. Now the grill is useless.

don't waste your money

I order this and took me sometime to use it because to put it together not that simple. After I have it put it together and get excited to use it I got very disappointed because the charcoal get burned underneath the charcoal and you have to keep moving the baskets were the charcoal is si the flame start the charcoal and took me two hours to cook my meat

There is an interactive 3D app called BILT that is free to download for both iPhone and Android. Many customers find it to be helpful along with the manual, during assembly. The Lighting burner is designed to help you get the charcoal lit and can be turned off once the charcoal has ignited. You may have to add more charcoal if you're finding the grill is not getting hot enough, or you require more cooking time. Also, note that all vents must remain OPEN during lighting and cooking. Without correct airflow, the charcoal will extinguish. More airflow increases the burning temperature of the coals. The Member's Mark Pro-Series Charcoal Gas Assist comes equipped with three air intake controls (vents) to help control temperature. If you require any assistance, give us a call toll-free at (888) 301-0332 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. CST Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST on Sundays.
