Installed it about a week ago. This is a system that we will only run when we have overnight guests or a dinner party. Installed under the counter top. Easy to change the swing of the door. Arrived with a small dent in the top corner of the door but when we flipped the door it is now at the bottom and out of view so ignored it. The specs say it needs a minimum of 15 psi water pressure to supply the water reservoir. Hooked it up to a reverse osmosis system with no modifications to the pressure. Did have to purchase a bigger storage tank for the osmosis system since this will use a lot of water to produce the ice. I had pre-installed a 1/2 inch pex pipe to drain the ice maker system when I built the house. Would not gravity drain probably because of trapped air in the line. Installed a condensate pump behind the ice maker and now works great. There is not a lot of room to work with since the gravity drain from the back of the unit is only 5-6 inches above the floor. Started producing ice within 15 minutes of turning it on. Filled the bin in 3-5 hours. Wish Sams offered an extended warranty on this product.

I have several undercounter ice makers, some are noisy, different types of ice and most are very expensive, but when replacing a ice maker, I decided on this one, after readying all the reviews, I still purchased this one for the look, stainless steel, the cost, best value among ice makers, It does not have a Drain Pump, but if you have a drain under the ice maker, you don't need one. The Ice maker makes sheets of ice, yes as the reviews state, you may have to brake the ice sheets apart, they are thin and they break easy, The ice maker has its on cleaning cycle, and one full you rarely hear the machine on, so I feel the noice level is very low most of the time, except when it cleans itself. So based on the dimensions, size, stainless steel, and more, its the best value out there. You can check different sites, but Sam's had this one on sale $200 off most of the others, but save it and keep watching it, the price changes, and it was simple installation, connect water line, connect drain, and then plug in, thats it.

The machine is easy to set up with everything needed. Makes tons of ice quickly. The ice comes off in sheets and we are having to break the sheets up in order to scoop them up. Also the bucket must be purposely pushed all the way in or there is leakage. We also noted that the drain hole in the bucket and the drain in the machine do not perfectly match up. With all that said, for the price, we can live with it but had we known the cubes did not come off individually---probably would have looked for a different machine.

This ice machine was priced hundreds below any others and does a good job producing ice. The machine was about 1 1/2" shorter than the one I replaced and I had to make a platform to set it on to fill the space under the kitchen counter. The ice is not as clear and the cubes tend to stick together. Over all it is a good value.

Cant give review yet because not hooked up to try. Ice machine arrived beat up from shipping so hope all ok.

Purchased as a replacement for an older version... the new one does not have the same ice quality (blocks stay frozen together, difficult size for standard cups and glasses), there is no light (former version was lit inside), and overall seems to be of lesser quality. (Door handle was also bent during shipping.)

Not sure the value but is convenient having extra ice

Didn't work out of the box. Bought a couple weeks ago. Never made ice. The evaporator never got cold. The thin metal plate on the back of the machine was damaged as well. Called Sam's and they had to reach out to the Maxx Ice to see what to do. I told them I'd bring to a local Sam's Club for a refund, but they weren't having it. They wanted to have UPS pick it up in original packaging (which is really in no condition to be used again, but I'll give it the old college try). So UPS is coming to get it in a couple days. Manufacturing date was Dec 21, so it has been sitting a long time. My guess is R-34 leak.

Very unhappy. Extremely LOUD. Loud as a washing machine. Leaks from the front door if drain hose not perfectly level. Drain hose is TOO long. This was to replace an under the cabinet ice maker that we previously had. House was built with a gravity drain hose in place. The hose that came with the Ice Maxx machine connected but there was extremely too much hose; hence the hoses didn’t drain and the door that you would think was sealed leaked does not …..ALL NIGHT all over the kitchen floor, down to the floor below. Don’t waste your time. You may spend more in repairs than if you just bought a more expensive machine.

Defective Wouldn't make ice Contacted company and they are shipping a new one. Haven't received it yet, hopefully it works correctly
