Westinghouse 13500 Tri-fuel Generator

Purchased this for hurricane season on the South Georgia coast. It was shipped free of cost to my front door via Estes Freight. It was securely strapped to a pallet and the 18-wheeler driver rolled it right into my garage with his pallet jack. This thing is a beast. Super nice with some very nice options but very heavy. Once out of the box, you have to install the wheels and front rubber feet. Took about 5 minutes. Unit is very nice looking. As some said, the welds on the frame could have used a little more attention but, they are certainly functional. Engine is shipped dry and there is a bottle of oil in the box. At this time, I haven’t run it yet but hope to do so soon.

Great purchase!

Purchased this to be ready for hurricane season. Very pleased with the quality and it seems easy to handle and user friendly. The only thing we didn't realize is that we needed to hire an electrician to install a special outlet outside our home to allow the generator to run without using extension cords. We feel we made a smart purchase and did a lot of research before purchasing.

A beast of a generator

I wet for the the 10500 watt to run my whole home, and it does an awesome job. I have 5 freezers and 2 fridges I run on back up and this does not flinch a bit. I got the tri-fuel because during a storm, you never know what you will be able to find to run your generator. I keep several propane tanks along with my extra fuel in my storage area, so I always have a back up.

So far so good

I'll increase my stares by one: had no trouble installing the wheels and the stabilizers, got them on without any trouble, very simple. Added oil and gas, cranked it up, no problems. Tried pairing the key fob, but it would not pair up, after a few tries I come to the conclusion it was paired at the factory, duh!! Ran it for a few hours without any problems. Had an electrician friend do all the electric work to hook up to my house. Got all that done, cranked it up, and wala, all went very well of course. Runs all I need for when we loose power. Four ton AC unit all my refrigerators and lights. We will see if I'll increase the stares after I an forced to use it. I will say it is very loud. But if it does what I want it to do, I can handle the loud.

Like the multiple fuel options

The Westinghouse generator appears to be well built, has much more useful features than the Generac generator, I owned ,which I had a lot of problems with and decided to go with Westinghouse especially since you have multiple fuel options. So far, no problems.

A power house!

Purchased this generator for the upcoming hurricane season and let me tell you, what a power house this bad boy is. I ran it just like the instructions said to follow and it power my entire house. I love the extra added feature of being a trifuel system. I am pretty sure i can power two small houses at the same time.

Started right up, easy to set up.

I just unboxed my new generator, put oil in it, installed the mounting legs, and wheels. Connected the battery cable, and a full propane bottle, hit the start button on the key fob, she started right up. Ran it for the recommended 5-10 minutes, not too noisy.

Many Features for the Price

My 12000 watt generator died during Hurricane Milton, and it is now hurricane season again in Florida. I found this 14,500 watt beauty and snapped it up. Tri-fuel, battery quick connect, trickle charger, long run time, electric start with remote start fob, low oil shutdown, CO minder, digital read out, and a 3-year warranty.

Quick set up and easy to understand controls

This appears to be a solidly built generator. It comes assembled except for the feet and wheels. I tested it out and it seemed to run most of my home circuits with just a tiny bit of fluttering of the LED lights in the house. My refrigerator and AC was running at the time so it might have been approaching its limit for Propane. I got a cut on my hand setting it up so I went looking for the issue. The welding was less than perfect as you can see in the photos. They used a wire feed welder on the handle and I got stabbed by a wire on a weld. It was easy to fix, but at this price there should have been some quality control person who should have caught this. The hole that the wheel assembly fits in also had a bead of weld dripped on it and I had to drill it out to get the axle in. I still feel I would recommend it as everything but the welding looked awesome.

Perfection!

Item showed up in perfect condition. Easy assembly, filled it up with gas, took a couple attempts to start. Likely related to proper priming. Third time, started right up! Now starts first try every time. Powers all essentials to half of my 4200 sqft home. Secondary unit powers the other half.
