This is a well-built tri-fuel generator that plugs directly into the transfer box for my circuit breaker. I especially appreciate the detailed documentation, parts lists, and support resources. This is what separates a solid company from those fly-by-night places. Yet the price is still comparable. Very happy with this so far.

We were quoted 18k to install a Generac. Our neighbors installed a Westinghouse and were kind to allow us to borrow some electricity to keep the food from spoiling. They powered their whole house with their generator, including their AC. They got an electrician to connect it the right way and a plumber to hook up to the natural gas and voila, for around 2k they had electricity! We were sold!!

I purchased this generator about a month ago after the recent hurricane left me withought power for two weeks. I have had to use it a few times since we were faced with post hurricane power outages. The tri-fuel option has really come in handy since I always have natural gas and propane available. The generator provides enough power to run all the appliances in our house with and there is plenty of power to spare. Definately a great buy at a resonable cost.

I’ve been using the Westinghouse 12500 Dual Fuel Generator for a while now, and I’m seriously impressed. The dual fuel feature is a game-changer—being able to run it on either gasoline or propane gives me peace of mind during hurricanes or power outages. It starts up quickly with the push-button electric start, and the remote start is a great bonus. The power output is more than enough to run multiple appliances, lights, and even my AC unit without any issues. It’s built solid, runs relatively quiet for its size, and has a long run time. The display is clear and easy to read, and switching between fuel types is simple. Only thing I’d say is that it’s heavy—so definitely make sure you get the wheel kit installed. Other than that, this generator is reliable, powerful, and worth every penny. Highly recommend for home backup or job site use!

I installed an interlock and a 50 amp breaker in my main panel wired to a 50 amp cord receptacle. Tested this generator recently and was able to run everything we will need to comfortably stay in our house during a power outage. I ran the generator on natural gas so I have not yet put a drop of gasoline in the tank. The generator started easily and ran consistently as I was testing various circuits. I was able to power lighting, ceiling fans, refrigerator, computers and internet devices, well pump and gas pack. I can now say with confidence that my family will be able to stay put and be comfortable in the house in the event of a power outage. When Hurricane Helene knocked our power out for 12 hours last year, we realized that we were unprepared. No power in our house means no water as we are on a well. This unit has given me confidence going into hurricane season.

Tested this generator right away and it worked great! Started right up with the included key fob. It ran all my lights, TV, wifi, a couple of portable ac units we have for when the power goes out, my two refrigerators and a stand alone freezer. I have a connection straight to my breaker box with a switch to block it from going to the main grid. It comes with a natural gas and propane hose and it can run on gasoline also. I ran it on natural gas. You will fill it with oil that it comes with, 1.26 quart. It takes the whole quart. Don't hesitate to buy this generator, it's worth every penny!

We purchased a Westinghouse Tri-fuel Generator and it's capable of powering the whole house. As a Tampa Bay resident, it gives us tremendous peace of mind to know that we have a powerful and reliable backup if and when the power goes out. We upgraded to this model and we love the tri-fuel flexibility!

So far it has been a easy to put together but i have yet to test on the whole house hook up. I currently waiting for a electeration to set up my panel for it. once i do i will up date my review. Until then it is ready to go. I do appreciate the panel design as it's easy to understand when operating the generator.
